Gymnastics and Acrobatics Training
We teach kids how to turn, tumble, and build real core strength. Here, gymnastics is about discipline, safe progression, and gaining the confidence to try harder moves.
A young gymnast demonstrates her focus and flexibility with a perfect center split on the balance beam. We build confidence from day one, helping kids achieve goals they can be proud of.
Our coach provides hands on support as a student practices a front walkover on a vaulting block. We prioritize safety and proper technique, ensuring every child masters skills at their own pace.
A student executes a graceful bridge pose, lifting one leg to touch a stability ball. This drill improves back flexibility, core strength, and body awareness, key elements in artistic gymnastics.
This video highlights the dynamic nature of our classes, showing students practicing wall walks, handstands, and aerial flips. We create a space where kids can safely channel their energy into impressive acrobatic skills.
Even our youngest athletes learn foundational skills like the handstand with close supervision from our coaches. We focus on building upper body strength and balance in a fun, encouraging way for kids of all ages.
A gymnast holds a strong straddle handstand on a low beam, showcasing excellent balance and core control. Our programs are designed to build the physical strength necessary for advanced gymnastics.
Watch our students practice cartwheels on the balance beam, a drill that combines tumbling skills with precision and focus. We use professional, kid sized equipment to help young athletes train effectively and safely.
About Featured
Our training focuses on foundational skills using high-density mats and crash pads, rather than spring floors. We keep class batches small so our coaches can provide manual spotting for every student, helping kids master moves like cartwheels and handstands at their own pace without rushing through the essential technique.
Building Foundation and Strength
At UMC, gymnastics is the starting point for developing body control. We do not just teach flips; we teach kids how to move with intention. Our curriculum is structured to build strength and agility from the ground up, focusing on mobility drills, core engagement, and balance.
What We Teach
- Floor Work: We break down complex movements into manageable steps, covering forward and backward rolls, handstands, bridges, and walkovers.
- Apparatus Drills: Using foam blocks and low beams, students learn spatial awareness and how to distribute their weight properly.
- Conditioning: We incorporate specific stretches and bodyweight exercises in every session to build the flexibility needed for splits and backbends.
The Dojo Environment
We train in a non-AC, fan-cooled facility shared with our martial arts programs. This isn't a high-gloss studio; it is a space designed for sweat and consistent effort. We use high-density EVA interlocking mats and thick vinyl crash pads to ensure safety during landings. Because our coaches are also martial arts trainers, they bring a strong focus on discipline and safety. They provide manual spotting to guide students through advanced maneuvers safely. Whether your child is a complete beginner or looking to sharpen their acrobatic skills, our programs in HSR Layout and Kodichikkanahalli and HSR Layout provide the coaching and space to grow.
