About Team UMC: Community & Seminars
Training at UMC is rarely a solo endeavor. When we bring in industry experts like Sensei Mayur Bansode for seminars, we open the floor to every member, not just the competition team. It is this shared access to elite feedback that sharpens our collective fight IQ beyond what standard drills can offer.
At our HSR and Kodichikkanahalli branches, we call ourselves 'The Champions Dojo' for a reason. While individual sparring and pad work are essential, our growth is accelerated by the community we have built. We organize regular seminars with guest instructors and experts, ensuring our members are exposed to different styles, advanced techniques, and fresh perspectives from the top of the combat sports world.
This is not a space where you disappear into the background. Whether you are prepping for a state-level karate championship or looking for your first combat fitness class, you are training alongside athletes who have competed at the national level. We treat our team kata training and sparring sessions as shared learning experiences. We believe that when one fighter succeeds, the whole squad learns how to get there. Our seminars are designed to break plateaus, offering technical insights that you simply cannot get from repetitive solo training.
