About this collection
We prioritize spatial efficiency by integrating Multi-Use Game Areas (MUGA) that allow a single footprint to host basketball, tennis, and volleyball. By utilizing international surface specifications and precise site grading, we ensure these facilities remain functional and low-maintenance, serving as durable anchors for community interaction.
Our Technical Approach to Active Landscapes
Sports zones are the social arteries of any residential development. We approach these areas as part of a larger, functional ecology rather than isolated concrete slabs.
Precision in Design and Materiality
Every court we design follows international dimension standards for safety and competitive play. We specify high-performance materials like synthetic acrylic surfaces or EPDM flooring for kids' play zones, ensuring durability against both foot traffic and weather. Our drainage strategy is integral; we calculate slope grading early in the master planning phase to prevent water pooling, a common failure in poorly planned sports complexes.
Smart Spatial Planning
We design for flexibility. Projects like the MUGA at New Baldwin International School demonstrate our ability to overlay different sporting needs within a single, optimized zone. This reduces the footprint of the hardscape, allowing us to dedicate more area to green buffers and shaded spectator seating.
Integrating Play and Nature
It is essential that sports areas do not feel segregated from the rest of the site. We treat the periphery of courts as active edges, planting flowering shrubs and canopy trees that provide natural shade for spectators. At developments like Serene Exotica and Sattva Lumina, we carefully locate these zones to ensure they are accessible from pedestrian loops, turning the act of going to the court into a pleasant, landscaped walk. Our team remains involved through the execution phase to verify that all markings and surface laying match our design intent exactly.
Urban & Landscape Design Studio
We see sports zones as essential social arteries within a development, not just isolated courts. Our studio focuses on the intersection of functional ecology and play, crafting active environments that enhance the daily rhythm of community living.
