Modern Wellness Sanctuary Architecture
Designed to harmonize with the rolling hills, our Aqua project demonstrates how fluid, parametric forms can create an immersive, nature-integrated wellness experience.
The fluid, wave-like form of the ferrocement roof at the Aqua Pool & Spa blends seamlessly with the rolling hills in the background. During the day, it provides a shaded, open-air lounge that feels connected to the landscape.

This composite image shows both the expansive view of the pool and a closer look at the underside of the curved roof structure. The design creates a dynamic interplay between the built form and the natural environment.
As dusk settles, the architectural lighting transforms the Aqua Pool & Spa into a dramatic and inviting space. The lights are designed to accentuate the unique V-shaped columns and the building's organic curves.
A commendation for our Aqua project at the Trends Excellence Awards. This image captures the modern cave-like feel of the pool and spa, which offers a harmonious balance between privacy and nature.
The interior of the Aqua Spa features a curved staircase and vertical wooden slats that echo the fluid forms of the exterior. The design guides visitors through a journey that evokes a profound sense of serenity.

We were honored to be featured in The Architect's Diary, where the editor noted the design's "sinuous curves and parametric roof" that create a unique and immersive experience for visitors.
We are proud that our Aqua Pool & Spa project was nominated for ArchDaily's Building of the Year 2025 in Healthcare Architecture. This recognizes our commitment to creating spaces that enhance wellness.
About Aqua: A Modern Wellness Sanctuary
The core of the Aqua project lies in its parametric ferrocement roof, which was engineered not just for its striking, wave-like form but for its efficiency. By utilizing local skills to craft these fluid curves, we achieved a high-design aesthetic while keeping structural expenses low, proving that sophisticated architecture remains accessible when the construction technique is rooted in local capabilities.
Our approach to the Aqua Pool and Spa was driven by the specific demands of the landscape. We wanted the structure to feel like a modern cave—a space that provides shelter while remaining entirely open to the surrounding hills of Karnataka.
To achieve this, we moved away from rigid box structures. The roof acts as the primary architectural gesture, a flowing, parametric form that guides the user’s movement through the space. We selected ferrocement for this roof because it allows for thin, strong, and highly complex geometries without the need for heavy, steel-intensive support structures. This choice directly reduced material waste and labor costs while allowing us to capture the sinuous curves that define the project.
The interior layout was planned to foster a sense of seclusion. We designed the floor plan to ensure that every point of view, whether from the water or the lounge area, frames the greenery outside. By integrating waterproofed planter beds directly into the structure and using local stone for flooring, we brought the forest line inside. This project has been a rewarding exploration of how commercial architecture can prioritize wellness through spatial flow rather than just high-end finishes. We were humbled to see this approach recognized with a commendation at the Trends Excellence Awards and a nomination for the ArchDaily Building of the Year 2025 in Healthcare Architecture.
