We believe architecture shouldn't dominate a landscape, but rather live in conversation with it. Our resort designs focus on site-sensitive planning, ensuring every structure respects the natural topography and invites the outdoors in.

This before-and-after aerial view shows the transformation of a raw, challenging site into a thoughtfully designed eco-resort. The layout respects the existing terrain, with structures carefully placed to blend in.

Structural poetry in progress. This image captures the construction of a key resort building, emerging from the rugged cliffside. The curved, multi-level concrete slabs are a direct response to the site's topography.

Lines that breathe. The minimalist cottages of the resort are nestled amongst existing trees, with clean architectural lines that contrast beautifully with the organic forms of the forest.

From concept to reality, this video shows the evolution of a resort cottage. The final rammed earth structure stays true to the initial vision of a building that is one with its landscape.

Architecture after sundown. This panoramic night view of the resort demonstrates how strategic lighting can create a warm, inviting atmosphere while highlighting the unique forms of the buildings against the dark forest.

A canvas where architecture bends and flows. This image shows the interplay of curved concrete forms, circular platforms, and an oculus in the roof, all designed to harmonize with the natural environment.

A resort retreat in the making. This black and white shot captures the powerful, brutalist forms of the main building, with a clear axis drawing the eye through the space and out to the landscape beyond.

This video provides a glimpse of the resort site from its earliest stages, showing the raw beauty of the topography and the initial foundation work that respects the natural relief of the land.

Behind the scenes of creating a getaway. This video montage documents the construction process, from aerial views of the site to close-ups of the material textures, revealing the meticulous work involved.

This three-stage aerial view documents the construction progress, showing the careful phasing of development to preserve as much of the natural landscape as possible.

About Sustainable & Site-Responsive Resorts

True resort design starts before the first brick is laid; it begins by understanding the site's natural rhythm. We prioritize working with the existing topography, often carving structures directly into the terrain rather than leveling it. By using materials like rammed earth and locally sourced stone, we ensure each cottage or pavilion maintains a tactile, grounded connection to its environment, offering guests an experience that feels intentionally quiet and serene.

Architecture That Listens to the Land

Our approach to hospitality is rooted in the idea of biophilic integration. When we design a resort, the landscape is not just a backdrop; it is a fundamental design driver. We map out the site’s natural drainage, rock formations, and tree lines, ensuring that every building footprint creates minimal disturbance to the existing ecosystem.

Materiality and Process

  • Rammed Earth & Raw Concrete: We lean heavily into materials that provide thermal comfort and age beautifully. Rammed earth walls provide a rustic, textural quality that mimics the natural surroundings while offering excellent insulation.
  • Topographic Sensitivity: Our multi-level design strategy involves staggering units along slopes. This ensures privacy for every guest and maximizes the view, turning a steep or challenging plot into an architectural asset.
  • Glass and Transparency: To break down the barrier between inside and outside, we utilize large, seamless glass facades. Even in the wilderness, these windows act as lenses, framing the forest and sky, allowing the resort to feel like a lantern in the landscape after dark.

Designing for Atmosphere

Beyond the structure, we curate the 'in-between' spaces—the pathways, the lighting, and the courtyards. Our goal is to create moments of pause. Whether it is a cantilevered balcony overlooking a valley or a winding stone path that leads to a hidden courtyard, every detail is engineered to make the guest feel a deeper, simpler connection to the outdoors. If you have a site that feels wild and complex, we view that as the perfect canvas for your next hospitality project.
