The body achieves what the mind believes. This is a demonstration of a flying side kick, a technique that requires years of dedicated practice to master timing, height, and power.
As a Renshi, I lead every class personally, ensuring each student masters the fundamental stances and punches. Here, we practice the zenkutsu-dachi stance, building a strong foundation together.
We believe karate is for everyone, a tool to build strength and confidence. This student demonstrates a powerful high kick, a testament to her dedication and the inner strength she has cultivated.
Kumite, or sparring, is where technique meets application. This video shows a controlled sparring demonstration between two of our dedicated female students, showcasing their agility, timing, and respect for one another.
Tameshiwari, or the art of breaking, is the ultimate test of focus and power. This is a demonstration of breaking multiple tiles with a single strike while maintaining a full split, channeling energy into a single point.
Every training session begins and ends with respect. This bow, or 'rei', is the most important practice in our dojo, reminding us that karate is a path of humility and mutual respect.

About this collection
Whether you are looking for fitness or structured self-defense, our training goes beyond earning a belt. You will practice Kihon fundamentals and Kumite sparring on dedicated EVA mats, ensuring your technique is sharp and your joints are protected. We keep classes practical—expect real sweat, disciplined footwork, and a supportive environment where every student, regardless of age, is treated with equal respect.
At Temple of Martial Arts, we do not view karate as a weekend hobby but as a lifelong commitment. Since 1990, we have operated with one goal: to train fighters, not just champions.
What You Can Expect
- Structured Progression: We guide students from their first white belt through the rigorous journey to Shodan and Nidan levels. Every step is earned through sweat and consistency.
- Traditional Foundations: Our curriculum is built on Shotokan principles. You will master Kihon (basics), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring) under the direct supervision of myself and our senior black belts.
- Real-World Confidence: Our self-defense programs adapt these techniques for real-life scenarios. It is about mental toughness as much as physical ability.
Training Locations
We operate two dedicated training facilities in Bangalore:
- Bannerughatta: Located at Shanubhoganahalli, Bannerghatta Road.
- Kumaraswamy Layout: Located at Yelachenahalli.
Classes and Flexibility
Classes are held three days a week, with each session lasting 60 to 75 minutes. We prioritize flexibility, offering sessions that fit into busy schedules while maintaining the discipline required to progress. Whether you are a beginner looking to improve flexibility or a student aiming for the black belt ceremony, you will find a place here.
