Lupa: The Design and Atmosphere of Our MG Road Venue
We built Lupa as a Tuscan villa in the heart of MG Road. Every corner, from our courtyard to the open kitchen, is designed to make you feel like family, not just a customer.
The Lupa sign at night, a beacon on MG Road. The reflection shows our name in Kannada, a nod to our home in Bengaluru.
Another shot of our iconic sign. I often wonder if these moments would make for good mementos or postcards for our guests.
The dramatic entrance to our kitchen, framed by red curtains. This is where the magic begins, a space defined by feeling as much as function.
A look inside my kitchen's storage, where our custom crockery is neatly stacked. Every plate and bowl is chosen with purpose to complement the food.
Announcing our first Christmas Pop-up Market. I love transforming the space to host unique events like this, bringing together the best of Bengaluru's homegrown brands for a day of shopping and brunch.
A poster for our Christmas Market, featuring some of 'luru's favorite homegrown brands. It was a day to celebrate local, sustainable, and artisanal products.
Featuring Begum Victoria Cheese, one of the artisanal brands at our Christmas Market. I love supporting and collaborating with other local creators.
Showcasing Ethic Attic, a sustainable concept store that was part of our Christmas Market. Their focus on fair trade and zero waste aligns perfectly with my values.
Highlighting Bare Necessities, a zero-waste brand that participated in our Christmas Market. These collaborations are about building a community with a shared vision.
Featuring Aqua Design Amano, a brand that blends art and ecology to create stunning nature aquariums. They brought a unique element of design to our Christmas Market.
About Our Space & The Details
When we talk about the details here, we do not mean just fancy napkins or wall art. We mean things like our custom crockery, selected to match the weight and texture of every dish, or the way our open kitchen is lit to keep the energy high. We want you to see the work, the precision, and the passion that goes into every plate before it hits your table.
Lupa is not a restaurant where you walk in, eat, and leave. We wanted to build a space that feels like a home, which is why we modeled our location on a classic Tuscan villa.
The Kitchen as the Heart
Our open kitchen is not just for show. It is the engine of the restaurant. You will see our chefs moving with purpose, focused on the small details that make a meal good. We believe that seeing how your food is made makes it taste better. From the butchery station to the pastry counter, every part of the kitchen is designed to be efficient so our team can focus on the flavors.
Designing for Connection
We put effort into the things you might not notice at first. The layout of the courtyard, the brass on the bar, and the way the lights dim as the evening progresses—all of this is intentional. We want you to be able to hear your friends across the table, even when the place gets loud.
Why Details Matter
We treat this space like our own living room. Whether you are coming in for a quiet lunch or booking the underground cellar for a group, we want the environment to match the mood of the occasion. We are constantly tweaking, rearranging, and listening to feedback because a space should evolve just like the people who visit it. If you have been looking for a venue that feels real, come hang out with us.
