Handcrafted Cotton Ghagra Choli Sets
Comfort meets tradition. Our ghagra choli sets are made from breathable handloom cotton, lined for extra softness, and designed so your little one can twirl freely without any fuss.
The Nila Ghagra Choli is a favorite for its vibrant colors. The combination of a parrot green choli and a royal blue skirt with a ruffled hem is designed to make your little girl feel special and ready to celebrate.
Watch the Meera set in action. The lightweight cotton ghagra and silk choli are designed for easy movement, perfect for a little one who loves to dance and twirl at a Diwali party.
Here is the Nila set, beautifully captured. The peplum top with a traditional Kasavu border and the peach cotton skirt with delicate motifs create an elegant look that's still incredibly comfortable for all-day wear.
This video showcases some of my favorite ghagra choli combinations. You can see the variety in prints, from intricate Kalamkari block prints to simple, elegant designs, all crafted for festive occasions.
For our Vishu and Onam collection, I created this classic Kasavu on Kasavu paavada blouse. The peplum style top adds a modern touch to the traditional off-white and gold cotton fabric, perfect for celebrating southern festivals.
A closer look at this unique paavada set. I paired a traditional Kasavu skirt with a playful red block-printed top featuring little pakshi (bird) motifs, adding a fun twist to a classic outfit.
Little Riva looks so sweet in our Handloom Polka Ghagra Choli. The breathable cotton fabric and easy-to-wear silhouette make it a great choice for long wedding celebrations where comfort is key.
This is the skirt of my Taara Set. It's a simple yet beautiful block-printed cotton ghagra with a crochet lace border. The adjustable waist tie ensures a perfect fit as your child grows.
The choli of the Taara Set features a comfortable V-neck with soft lace detailing and knots at the back. This design makes it easy to wear and adjust, so there's no fuss.
The choli from our Meera Set is made from a vibrant hot pink cotton silk. The gold lace detailing is carefully stitched to be soft against the skin, making it a beautiful and comfortable fusion top.
About Ghagra Cholis & Paavada Sets
Every ghagra choli set here is designed to solve the common 'itchy festive wear' problem. I use soft handloom cottons and line the entire bodice and skirt with breathable malmal, so your little one feels as comfortable as they do in their regular play clothes, whether they are attending a wedding, a puja, or just twirling at home.
When you pick an outfit for a festival, you want your child to look traditional, but not at the cost of their comfort. That is why I deliberately leave out dupattas in all my sets. They often get tangled, fall off, or simply restrict a child's movement during play. Instead, I focus on the construction of the choli and ghagra itself.
Each skirt features both an elasticated waist and a functional drawstring with handmade tassels, allowing you to adjust the fit as your child grows. I work with various traditional techniques, including Kalamkari block prints, handwoven Ikat, and the classic Kasavu from Kerala, to bring authentic Indian textiles to your child's wardrobe.
Every piece is lined with pure cotton, so even on hot days or during long ceremonies, the fabric stays gentle against sensitive skin. Whether you are looking for a vibrant Nila ghagra or a classic off-white Kasavu set, these outfits are built to last through many celebrations. Sizes range from 1 to 12 years, and I am always happy to discuss custom adjustments if you have a specific festive theme in mind.
The Little Stitch
I started The Little Stitch because I wanted clothes that let kids actually be kids, even at a wedding. When I design these ghagra cholis, I am thinking about how the fabric feels against their skin and ensuring they can move, run, and dance without restriction.
