About this collection
When I design for festive days, I line every single lehenga and kurta with 100% butter cotton to cover any scratchy Zari backing. You get traditional looks that survive hours of running around, plus I add 2-inch growth margins inside so the outfits actually last through more than just one event.
Dressing siblings for a big occasion often turns into a struggle. You want them to look put-together for the family photos, but you also know they will be running, playing, and eventually falling asleep on someone's lap.
My approach to festive wear is simple. We create coordinated sets—whether it is a brother-sister duo in matching Banarasi silk, or two sisters in complementary shararas. We don't just copy-paste the design. I look at the color palette and fabric, then tailor the fit so each child feels like themselves rather than a miniature adult.
We work with fabrics that breathe, like Chanderi, raw silk, and soft cotton blends. If you choose an outfit with heavy embroidery, I ensure the interior is completely covered with soft lining so your child does not complain of itching halfway through the puja.
Since these are custom pieces, we talk about the occasion first. Is it a haldi ceremony where yellow is a must? A grand evening reception? Or a relaxed Diwali at home? Once we nail the theme, we discuss the details—tassels, buttons, and fit adjustments—to ensure the final look matches your vision. If you have a specific idea or a family heirloom fabric you want to upcycle, let me know. We can turn memories into wearable outfits for your kids.
Karasa Baby
I am a mom of two wild boys, and I know exactly what it is like to chase a kid in an itchy, uncomfortable dress. That is why everything at Karasa Baby is designed to be comfy enough for naptime, even when it looks fancy enough for a wedding.
