About Furniture Upcycling & Restoration
Why I Do What I Do
Old furniture isn’t just junk to me. Every scratch, every faded patch, किसी की याद दिला देता है (reminds me of someone or something). I get real joy helping people hold onto those memories by turning forgotten pieces into something totally new. Upcycling is my way of mixing emotions, creativity, and a little jugaad (innovation).
How I Work My Magic
- We start with a chat. I want to know your story and what you imagine for your piece. Sometimes, if it needs big fixes, I team up with a carpenter for those heavy-duty repairs.
- Prep work isn’t pretty - lots of sanding, cleaning, and fixing cracks. It’s messy but makes all the difference.
- Here’s where things get fun. I use chalk paints for that soft matte look, add hand-painted patterns (flowers or whatever you vibe with), cane webbing for a fresh twist, or even mosaic and traditional Lippan art. Sometimes I mess up, but honestly, those happy accidents often make the best details.
- Last bit is sealing everything with varnish or lacquer so your piece looks good and stays that way.
Stuff I Love Working On
- Old cupboards (even those heavy metal almirahs!)
- Chests of drawers, side tables, stools
- Broken glass tops? I can turn that into wood or mosaic magic
- Special projects like making a Puja Unit with custom touches
Why Upcycling Feels Special
It’s not just about being eco-friendly (though that matters). It’s about keeping your memories alive and giving your space something that’s just yours - no two pieces come out the same. You end up with handcrafted home decor upcycle that feels personal, not factory made.

My Story
We started painting again in 2013, and wow, it’s been 11 years. No fixed style, just pure freedom – one day it’s a wall, next it’s a T-shirt, sometimes even an old chair. Mountains inspire us, so you’ll spot them in our work. Upcycling old furniture is our real joy – memories get a fresh coat. Trips to Himachal keep us going. This is for us: we chose this path, and honestly, we’re proud of it.
