The Science of Yoga: Why Technique Matters
Yoga is more than just flexibility—it's a union of mind and body. Learn why proper alignment and a holistic approach are the only ways to see real, lasting changes in your practice.
In this conversation, I explain a core belief: technique is everything. Without proper alignment, you are only doing the pose externally. When you learn to target the right muscles, you feel the internal changes and see 100% results.
Yoga is a union of mind and body. It is a complete lifestyle that includes five key elements: proper asanas (exercise), pranayama (breathing), shavasana (relaxation), a sattvic diet, and positive thinking with meditation.
About My Yoga Philosophy: The 'Why' Behind the 'How'
Most people think yoga is just about flexibility, but that’s where the trouble starts. When you practice without understanding your skeletal alignment or targeting the correct muscles, you are just moving your body without really working it. I don’t just teach poses; I teach you how to feel the difference between a stretch and a strain so you can finally see 100% results.
When you join my studio in Noida, we don't just jump into asanas. My teaching is built on five fundamental pillars that make yoga a complete lifestyle rather than just a workout:
- Asana (Exercise): We focus on foundation and correct alignment, not performance or acrobatics.
- Pranayama (Breathing): This is the essential bridge between your mind and body.
- Savasana (Relaxation): Learning to mentally switch off is a skill we often forget.
- Satvik Diet: Nutrition that actually supports your body's recovery and energy.
- Meditation: Building a calm, positive mindset to manage daily stress.
Most beginners struggle because they focus only on the physical pose without understanding their own body's boundaries. Without that knowledge, you might be straining your joints instead of strengthening your muscles. My goal is to help you build a practice that heals, whether you are dealing with chronic pain, weight management, or simply looking for balance. Remember, yoga is 'union'—yaani ki jodna. It connects your internal state to your physical actions. Stop guessing if you are doing it right and let's work together to find your balance, the safe way.
