Sharing the sitar with an audience is a sacred experience. Here is a glimpse of my live performances, baithaks, and collaborative sessions across Bengaluru.

About On Stage: Concerts & Collaborations

When I perform, the magic happens in the balance between the sitar and the accompanists. I prioritize working closely with tabla players to ensure the rhythm and melody remain fluid, whether we are playing for an intimate baithak in a living room or a larger concert stage.

My journey with the sitar is rooted in the guru-shishya parampara, learning under Sri Vijay B Gonahalu and Pandit Arvind Parikh ji. When I step on stage, my goal is to create a connection, not just perform. My live sessions are designed to be adaptable to the energy of your event.

My Approach to Performance

  • Hindustani Classical & Baithaks: For intimate settings, I focus on the purity of the raga. We explore the alap and jor, creating a meditative space that respects the tradition of the baithak.
  • Fusion & Collaborations: I enjoy breaking boundaries by collaborating with other musicians. If you are looking for fusion music that blends the sitar with modern beats or other instruments, I am always ready to jam and experiment.
  • Technical Readiness: Whether it is a private gathering or a public concert, I handle the technical aspects, including microphone placement and sound balance, to ensure the sitar sounds crisp and resonant.

I believe music is a shared experience. If you are planning an event in Bengaluru, I am happy to discuss how we can tailor the setlist, whether you want a traditional classical performance or something more contemporary.

I am Arjun. The sitar is my world, and performing for an audience is where I feel truly alive. I love the energy of live baithaks as much as I enjoy collaborating with fellow musicians to bring something new to the stage.
