I believe music is not just to be played, but to be shared. From intimate baithaks to large stage concerts, I bring the traditional sound of the sitar to your events.

About this collection

When I perform, it is often a shared journey. You will frequently see me on stage accompanied by my own students—a testament to the Guru-Shishya tradition I hold dear. This collaboration brings a unique, layered energy to the sitar, whether we are playing at an intimate private baithak or a public concert. It is not just about the music, but about the joy of performing together.

My Approach to Performance

Music is a dialogue. Whether you are hosting a small gathering or a large public event, I tailor the performance to the audience. My repertoire is rooted in Hindustani classical music, focusing on the beauty of raags like Yaman and Puriya.

Performance Styles:

  • Intimate Baithaks: For listeners who want to sit close and hear the nuances of the sitar in its purest acoustic form. These are perfect for private gatherings and house concerts.
  • Grand Sitar Symphony: For larger events, I lead a full ensemble of sitars and accompanying instruments. It is a rich, symphonic experience that fills the room.
  • Collaborative Performances: As part of my commitment to the Guru-Shishya parampara, I often bring senior students on stage. This provides them with professional exposure and adds a special, multi-generational energy to the music.

Therapeutic & Special Sessions

Beyond traditional concerts, I offer 'Svaropachara' sessions. These are designed for meditative, healing environments where the focus is on the calming effect of the sitar. I have performed these in medical and corporate settings to help uplift staff and patients.

Technical Details for Organizers

  • Accompaniment: I work with skilled tabla players to ensure the rhythm is authentic. For larger shows, we manage mic positioning and sound balance to ensure the sitar remains the focus.
  • Versatility: I am comfortable with both traditional classical recitals and fusion-style collaborations depending on the event requirement.

If you are planning an event in Bengaluru and want a traditional, soulful musical experience, I would be happy to discuss how we can bring that vision to life.
