This is where the heart of my practice lies. Here you can see my explorations of different ragas, focusing on the nuances of alap, jod, and taankari that bring each melody to life. These sessions are what our classes will build towards, helping you develop a clean sound and your own improvisational voice.

The sitar can beautifully interpret popular melodies. In this section, I share some of my favorite instrumental covers of Bollywood and South Indian film songs. We can work on your favorite songs in our lessons too, adapting them for the sitar.

The Guru-Shishya Parampara
My music is a blessing from my guru Sri Vijay B Gonahalu and grand-guru Pandit Arvind Parikh ji. I strive to honor this lineage, or parampara, in my own teaching, creating a journey of mutual respect and shared passion.
