About Behind the Art & Your Kind Words
Preserving a memory is a quiet, deliberate process. Whether it is your wedding varmala or a pet’s memento, I start by dehydrating your items in my studio to retain their original color and structure. This stage takes about 3 to 7 days, followed by a multi-layer resin pour that cures over two to three weeks. Because I handle everything personally in my Thane studio, we will spend time discussing your design before I ever start the cast.
When I started The Craft of Living five years ago, it began as a small idea with just two hands and a lot of patience. I realized quickly that resin art is not just about aesthetics; it is about the responsibility of holding someone's history.
Why the Process Matters
Resin is unpredictable. It requires a specific environment, precise ratios, and time to cure correctly. I do not rush my pours. By taking the time to layer the resin over several weeks, I ensure that your flowers or keepsakes are suspended perfectly without burning or discoloration. This is why I am so grateful to my clients for their trust—they understand that great art cannot be hurried.
