Behind the Scenes: How I Preserve Your Memories in Resin

Every keepsake has a story. Here is how I turn your precious moments, from wedding varmalas to baby milestones, into art that lasts a lifetime.

The most time-consuming part of the whole process is sorting the flowers and arranging them in the best way possible. This video shows my focus and my little happy dance when the layout is perfect. It's all about patience and love for the craft.

Not all settings are approved, and that's okay. This video shows a layout that the customer rejected because they wanted a shape that was easier to keep. My process is collaborative, and your final approval is what matters most.

I love my job, but some days are hard. This video shows the heartbreaking moment a mold tore during demolding. It’s a transparent look at the realities of handmade art, but my passion for what I do always helps me move forward.

A little glimpse into my world. It took me 6 hours to clean and reorganize my studio, but having a creative and organized space is so important for my work. This is where all the magic happens.

In the act of creating. This is a little glimpse from the everyday chaos of my studio. Each day is about focusing on the details and pouring my heart into preserving your beautiful memories.

Let's make the tiniest frame with me. This video shows the process of creating a small teakwood frame, from painting the wood to placing the preserved flowers. Even the smallest pieces get my full attention.

I wish sorting flowers was this quick. This satisfying video shows the process of separating dried flowers and kaleera ornaments before they are arranged in a new piece. It's a delicate and crucial step.

About this collection

I don't just pour resin and walk away. Before I seal anything, we look at a digital design together, adjusting the layout so it feels exactly like your memory. It is a slow, collaborative process. Please keep in mind that since every item is handmade by me, there may be tiny bubbles or ripples in the final piece. That is just the charm of real, imperfect art.

Har piece ki apni kahani hoti hai. This is my philosophy, and it guides every step I take in my studio. Whether it is your shaadi ki varmala, an ultrasound scan, or a keepsake from a loved one, the preservation process is entirely manual and deeply personal.

First, I handle your items with the respect they deserve. Flowers go through a careful dehydration process using silica gel, which retains their shape and color much better than air drying. Sometimes, I use silica gel powder to highlight specific textures depending on the flower type. Once they are dried, the real fun begins.

I treat your items as art, not just materials. I plan the layout, place each element, and then we review the design. This collaborative step is vital because it ensures the end result resonates with you. After approval, I pour the resin in layers. This allows me to suspend your memories in a crystal-clear block, tray, or frame. It is a time-consuming method, but it prevents items from sinking and creates that depth you see in the final product.

My studio is often a scene of beautiful chaos, but every hour spent cleaning, organizing, and pouring is worth it to keep your memories alive. I am based in Delhi, but I help clients all across India save their special moments from fading away.

I'm Latika. My studio, 'itsallkindalit', is where I turn your fleeting moments into permanent art. I studied sculpture in Delhi, but my heart is truly in saving your precious memories—one layer of resin at a time. ॐ नमः शिवाय.
