The Handmade Process: Creating Resin Keepsakes
People said art could not be a business, but I proved them wrong. This is the reality behind my work—the messy, creative, and heartfelt process of turning your memories into art.
Being the 'Malkin' of my own art business is the best feeling. It started from a room, with people telling me art couldn't be a business, to now having my own studio. I'm so proud of this journey and so proud to be an artist.
Handmade equals heartmade. These are a few photos that make me go, "I did that." From packing bulk orders to posing with a finished nameplate, I love every part of this small business journey.
This is an appreciation post to all my clients for keeping the blind trust on me and my work , love u all ♥️
This is part two of the eight-year-old varmala story. The client was stunned by the shine and finishing of the first keepsake and asked for a second one. Seeing her happy reply makes all the hard work feel amazing.
A working Sunday spent packing the last batch of Christmas gift boxes. I love putting on some loud music and getting everything ready myself. The amazing feedback I get for these boxes makes it all worth it.
Only a resin artist will relate to this feeling. We all pray that our top coats dry perfectly glossy without any dimples. It's the best feeling when you check on your work the next day and it's flawless.
This wedding card was made with real flowers. It's a unique alternative to printed invitations, created by carefully placing text and flowers in resin. Isn't it gorgeous?
About this collection
Getting that perfect, glass-like finish on resin is pure patience. I spend days cleaning, dehydrating, and carefully pouring every layer to make sure your varmala or souvenirs do not just sit in a frame, but shine for years. It is not just pouring liquid, it is a delicate chemistry of temperature and timing that I handle right here in my studio.
Every piece I create is a little journey. When you send me your wedding flowers, whether they are fresh or eight years old, I treat them like my own. My studio process is not about rushing to finish an order; it is about preservation. I use specialized silica sand for 3D drying to keep the original shape of lilies and roses, followed by a precise deep-pour resin casting that requires a dust-free environment and a lot of prayer that the top coat dries without dimples.
I started this journey in a tiny room, and today I have a dedicated space for my art. Being the 'Malkin' of this small business means I remember your stories, not just your order numbers. From my textured wall art to resin keepsakes, everything is handmade in Mumbai. Whether I am packing a bulk order on a Sunday with loud music playing or delicately placing petals for a resin photo frame, I love every bit of the struggle and the success. If you are looking for custom resin art or textured wall decor, you are not just getting a product; you are getting a piece of my heart, crafted with the lessons I have learned while turning my passion into a business.
