Our Design Process: How We Bring Soul to Spaces
We do not just fill rooms with furniture. We build a conversation between your story, the architecture of your space, and the daily life you lead within it.
Design is a collaborative journey. Here, my team and I are working through the details of a client's space, ensuring every element, from the art on the walls to the texture of the fabric, aligns with their personal story and our shared vision.
Hear from my lead designer, Daksha, as she explains our process for a home with specific Vastu requirements. She discusses the challenge of using vibrant, contrasting colors while maintaining a minimal, clean, and elegant aesthetic.
My designer, Madhuri, shares her thoughts on a project featured in Good Homes Magazine. She explains how we used grooves, arches, and mirrors to add character and break the monotony of a neutral color palette, balancing beauty with function.
About Our Process & Philosophy
When we approach a new project, we look at your constraints before we look at the floor plan. Take our recent residential project: we had to integrate specific Vastu color guidelines (white, green, pink, and orange) while keeping the aesthetic minimal and clean. Rather than hiding these colors, we measured every cabinet and utensil to custom-fit storage solutions, proving that strict functional requirements can exist comfortably alongside a refined design vision.
Design is not about trends for us. It is a collaborative journey where we balance the practical needs of your daily life with the stories you want your environment to tell. Our process is rooted in what we call 'Olavu', or the emotional touch, which ensures that a space feels like home the moment you walk in.
How We Work
- Understanding the Narrative: Every project gets a name, like 'Kaalam' for time or 'Olavu' for emotion. We start by listening to your memories and what you value, not just what you want to buy.
- Technical Precision: Beautiful interiors fail if they do not work. Whether we are reconfiguring a plumbing grid for a spa or designing a study desk with specific ergonomics, we focus on the technical details first. We use techniques like grooves, fluted glass, and arches to break the monotony of neutral palettes, ensuring a room feels layered rather than flat.
- The Turnkey Experience: We manage the process from the first sketch to the final handover. You do not need to worry about managing contractors, sourcing, or site supervision. We coordinate the lighting, the textures, and the joinery so that the final result matches the vision we discussed at the start.
We believe that a home or a workspace should feel like a reflection of its inhabitants. Our team, led by Supriya and Rajesh, works to ensure that your space is adaptable, functional, and deeply personal. We invite you to visit our studios in HSR or HRBR Layout to see how we can turn your ideas into a real, livable story.
