Professional Tennis Coaching at Tennace Academy
At Tennace Academy, we believe tennis is more than just hitting a ball. It is about building a mindset of effort, discipline, and grit. From beginners to tournament players, we build the player from the ground up.
This is what our advanced junior training looks like. We push our players with high-intensity drills that build stamina, sharpen technique, and prepare them for the pressures of competitive tennis. It's all about focused effort and constant improvement.
A quick lesson on effort. I believe my job is to show you the way, but the drive to be the best has to come from within. We teach our players to give 100 percent, even when no one is watching, because that's how champions are made.
I always tell my students that tennis is 80 percent legs. While technique is important, your intensity and footwork are what separate good from great. We drill agility and movement until being light on your feet becomes second nature.
It all starts with a love for the game. We make sure even our youngest players have fun from day one, building their confidence and creating a positive relationship with the sport that will last a lifetime.
Welcome to the Tennace family. This is our community of players and coaches, all working together and supporting each other on and off the court. We train hard, but we also build friendships.
Seeing our players succeed is what it's all about. This is the result of dedication, hard work, and consistent training. We guide our students on the path to competing in and winning tournaments.
We believe fitness should be fun. Our training includes dynamic and engaging drills that improve agility, speed, and reaction time, keeping our young athletes motivated and entertained while they build a strong physical foundation.
About this collection
You need to know that we do not just teach you to swing; we teach you how to think on the court. Whether you are aiming for competitive tournaments or just starting with the basics, we focus on high-repetition footwork and biomechanics to build the 'phatka' power behind every shot. You have to bring the effort, and we will bring the technique.
At Tennace Academy, our philosophy is simple: tennis is 80 percent legs and 20 percent hands. If you are joining our programs, be prepared to move. We operate out of two primary locations in Mumbai: Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana in Santacruz and Don Bosco High School in Matunga.
Our coaching team, led by me along with Raghunath and Kiara, focuses on breaking down the game into manageable, actionable steps. For our grassroots juniors, we use low-compression balls to focus on grip, hand-eye coordination, and basic court positioning. As players move into our Intermediate and High-Performance squads, we increase the intensity. We integrate tennis-specific fitness, agility ladder drills, and shadow shuffling into every session because a player who is not fit cannot sustain their technique under pressure.
We also solve the classic Mumbai problem: weather. When the monsoon hits, we do not stop. We have systems in place to dry the courts quickly, and if the rain is persistent, we shift our sessions indoors to focus on core stability, coordination, and mental game workshops.
We are looking for students who want to get better. If you are ready to work on your biomechanics, refine your serve, and develop the mental fortitude required for match play, you will fit right in with our family.
Tennace Academy
I am Vanshal, and at Tennace, we treat our academy like a family. We push you to find your own rhythm rather than just copying others, because we know that true progress comes from the drive you bring to the court.
