Tennis Coaching for All Ages in Mumbai
From tiny tots learning their first grip to adults sharpening competitive backhands, we offer structured tennis training across our Powai, Bandra, and Khar courts.
Our Mini Tennis program is designed to make learning fun. In this photo, a coach at our Powai academy patiently guides a young girl, helping her understand the grip and motion for a perfect swing, building a strong foundation for her tennis journey.
Action is the best part of the game. Here, a young athlete from our junior program demonstrates excellent form and footwork as he runs to hit a forehand during a practice match. We focus on developing these core skills to help players excel in competitive situations.
Tennis is a great way to stay active and connect with others. This photo shows one of our adult group sessions in Bandra, where our coach is breaking down a technique for a group of enthusiastic players. These sessions are perfect for improving your skills in a social setting.
Experience the intensity and style of our tennis training. This video showcases everything we work on, including powerful serves, quick footwork, and the attitude needed to win. It’s a preview of the high-energy environment you'll find at our academy.
About Tennis Coaching for All Ages
We keep our group sessions tight, with only 6 to 8 players per court, so you aren't just standing in line waiting for a turn. Whether you are at our Powai facility or the YMCA courts in Khar, you will spend most of your hour hitting balls, working on footwork, or simulating match play, not listening to long lectures.
Our Coaching Approach
We believe tennis is a skill you build through repetition and situational play. Our quarterly tennis coaching program is built around this reality. Every 60-minute session balances technical drills—like forehand consistency and service mechanics—with 10 minutes of dedicated agility work and 15 minutes of point-play to keep your competitive edge sharp.
Where We Play
You can find our coaching programs at three central Mumbai hubs: Emma Sports Academy in Powai, The Bandra Gymkhana in Bandra West, and the Bombay YMCA in Khar. These are not random public courts; we have secured access to these facilities to ensure you get consistent, reliable training surfaces.
Who This Is For
Our Mini Tennis program introduces children aged 3 to 8 to the basics of movement and racquet control before they grow into the main court program. For adults, our groups are segregated by experience level, so you are not stuck drilling basics if you are already comfortable with competitive play. We welcome everyone from total newbies to seasoned players.
Practical Details
- Equipment: We provide training balls, but you will need to bring your own racquet and non-marking shoes to every session.
- Schedule: We operate on 3 sessions per week (Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat batches).
- Fees: A small semi-annual YMCA membership fee may apply at some locations, separate from our coaching charges.
