About Guided Flows & Sequences
I don't believe in rigid, cookie-cutter routines. When we flow, my focus is on how your body feels between the poses, not just the final shape. If you are struggling with a specific transition, I will break it down so you can move smoothly instead of just forcing the position.
In my classes, a flow isn't just a workout; it is a moving meditation. People often focus on the peak pose—the headstand, the deep backbend—but the real work happens in the space between the shapes. That is where we build the rhythm, find our breath, and learn to handle the transitions that life throws at us.
Why focus on flow?
Whether we are practicing in a studio, at your home in Bangalore, or over a video call, I design these sequences to be creative and adaptable. If you are a beginner, we might focus on linking simple movements like Malasana transitions or sun salutations to wake up the body. If you are more advanced, we explore how to link balancing poses into arm balances, always prioritizing safety and alignment over the Instagram-perfect final look.
My approach to Vinyasa is heavily influenced by Hatha principles. We don't rush. We move with the breath to ensure the nervous system stays calm, even when the muscles are burning.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I lose my balance during the flow? That is a normal part of the practice. Every time you wobble, you get the chance to reset. My job is to guide you on how to catch yourself and come back to your breath.
Do you provide modifications? Always. Every sequence has a foundation. If a transition is too hard on your wrists or shoulders, I will show you how to use props or simplified movements to keep the flow going without risking injury.
Is this good for stress? Moving your body in a steady rhythm acts as a bridge between your mind and your body, which is highly effective for calming the mind and reducing daily anxiety.
