Real Student Yoga Progress and Journeys
Yoga is a practice of consistency and patience. Here, I showcase the genuine progress my students have achieved through personalized coaching, from their first wobble to mastering complex poses.
An amazing 17 seconds of stable holding in Pincha Mayurasana. My student Ankita continues to amaze me. I remember when she was building the confidence to even jump up, and now look at this perseverance. This is a testament to her dedication.
It took only three days of dedicated practice for my student to achieve this beautiful drop back. Seeing this kind of progress is what makes teaching so rewarding. It's amazing what you can do when you focus your efforts.
Just a 4 second hold in handstand, but it's a huge milestone. My student Gunjan has the strength, balance, and motivation right where they need to be. I appreciate her efforts and can't wait to see her continue to progress.
I was amazed by my student Pallavi's performance with these Hindu Dand pushups. She was unexpected and a true testimony to her strength. It shows that with the right guidance, you can surpass your own expectations.
I never expected anyone to do this Eka Pada Bakasana with me, but my student Gunjan is a gem. Her strength and balance are incredible. It's a joy to practice alongside such dedicated students.
The struggle is part of the journey, but the result is worth the wait. Here is a look at the process of learning the tripod headstand. Every attempt, every wobble, is a step towards finding that moment of stillness.
Learning a handstand to wheel transition can be nerve wracking. That's why I always recommend beginning with a teacher for a safer experience. Here, I'm spotting my student to ensure she feels secure as she explores this advanced movement.
Here I am assisting my student Shruz with a deep backbend for shoulder opening. Using props like straps and blocks, and with a little hands on assistance, we can safely explore a deeper range of motion and unlock new levels of flexibility.
This was her first time achieving Rajakapotasana on her own. It's a huge achievement in mastering shoulder opening and back flexibility. I love hearing about my students' backbend stories and celebrating their breakthroughs.
From strong to strongest. This video shows the five levels of boat pose, or Navasana. It's a fantastic way to track your core strength progression, and my student is demonstrating each stage beautifully.
About Student Journeys & Progress
Progress in yoga is rarely linear. Whether it is a student like Ankita finally holding a stable Pincha Mayurasana for 17 seconds or mastering a deep drop back in just three days, these milestones are the result of breaking complex movements into small, manageable drills. I focus heavily on safe alignment and personalized adjustments, which means we celebrate the effort and the process just as much as the final shape.
The Path to Your Practice
When you see these photos, remember that every single one represents hours of practice, falls, and eventually, breakthroughs. I do not believe in cookie-cutter sequences. Whether you are a beginner in Bangalore looking to build a foundation or an experienced practitioner aiming for advanced inversions, we work together to find what your body needs.
How We Achieve Results
- Foundational Strength: Before attempting advanced poses, we prioritize basics like proper spine alignment and core stability. This is how students eventually progress to poses like Navasana (Boat Pose) or Hanumanasana.
- Safe Alignment: Injury prevention is my priority. Whether in my Bangalore home sessions or via online coaching, I provide real-time cues and use props to ensure you practice safely.
- Progressive Drills: We don't jump into handstands immediately. I break down every advanced move—like headstand variations or backbends—into smaller exercises that build the necessary strength and flexibility over time.
Personalized Coaching
I work with you as an individual. If you are recovering from an injury, we focus on therapeutic movements. If you want to refine your handstand, we focus on drills. This is not about being the best; it is about finding your own balance and 'inner work.'
Om Namah Shivaya.
