Yoga is not a solitary path. It is a practice walked with a Sangha—a community that keeps you true to your Sadhana, one breath at a time.

These photos are from my Hatha Yoga teacher training days at the Isha Yoga Center. Being surrounded by this vibrant, dedicated group of people from all over the world was a life changing experience. This is the community, the Hatha bunch, that I am so grateful to be a part of.

A glimpse from a Hatha Yoga teachers meet in Bangalore. We are a diverse group of nuts, all united by one purpose: to offer these powerful tools to the world. These gatherings are a time for sadhana, sharing ideas, and lots of fun and food.

Even as teachers, we need corrections to refine our practice. Here, I am preparing for a correction session with a fellow teacher. It is a very humbling process to have someone point out the small misalignments you have developed over time, and it is essential for growth.

About Community & My Teacher's Journey

Even after years of teaching, I still meet fellow practitioners for correction sessions. It is a humbling process. You might think your alignment is perfect, but a subtle shift in your knee or a slight tilt in your hand can change the entire impact of an asana. This is why our community matters—we are here to hold space for each other and keep the practice honest.
