About this collection

When we meet at my Jayanagar studio, we aren't just picking fabric. We start with sketches and necklines to make sure the fit is exactly how you imagined. I love sharing 'work in progress' updates with you, because seeing the transformation—from raw cloth to detailed hand embroidery—is where the real magic happens.

My process is all about transparency and collaboration. Since I run an appointment-only studio, you get my full attention to make sure we get every detail right, whether it is the depth of a V-neck or the placement of a bead.

The Journey of Your Outfit

1. The Sketch & Selection: We start by talking about the occasion. If you bring an old saree to be upcycled, we map out how to best use the fabric without losing the sentimental value. We choose materials—organza, raw silk, or glitter net—based on the drape and the look you want.

2. The Hand-Embroidery (Maggam) Phase: This is my favorite part. Whether it is intricate zardosi, antique gold beads, or silk threads, I work on the neckline and sleeves until they feel just right. You will see the progress here—the slow, meticulous work that goes into every stitch.

3. The Fit: I believe a great outfit needs to fit like a second skin. For major pieces like lehengas, I prepare a muslin trial first. This allows us to adjust for your heels and ensure the silhouette is perfect before we cut into the final fabric. I include generous margins inside for kids' outfits so they can grow into them, and I ensure all linings are soft and non-itchy.

4. The Finishing Touches: Every hook is concealed, and I hand-make the fabric latkans to match your outfit. When you leave, the goal is for you to wear something that feels completely like 'you' and not something off a rack.
