About Empowering Women Through Martial Arts
Self-defense isn't just about fancy moves you see in movies. In my class, we focus on how to react under stress. We drill simple, repeatable strikes and escapes that work when you're caught off guard. You will sweat, you will get tired, and you will learn how to use your body effectively to protect yourself. It's about building the instinct to act fast, not just standing there frozen.
Many women come to me feeling unsure about how they would react in a tough situation. My job is to change that. I strip away the complicated techniques and teach what actually works on the street. We start with the basics: how to stand, how to block, and how to create space. Then, we move to high-stress drills where you practice these moves while tired, because that is when you need them most. We pull from Taekwondo for distance and kicks, Judo for safety if you fall, and Wing Chun for close-quarters control. This is not a standard gym workout. It is practical, functional training that changes how you walk down the street. My students often tell me they feel more aware of their surroundings after just a few weeks. We train in semi-open, real-world conditions in Andheri West and Goregaon West to keep you grounded. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your reflexes, the door is open. Come for a trial class and see how your own body can become your biggest weapon.
