This is an announcement for a very special two-day, evidence-based training we are hosting: the Rhythm To Recovery workshop with Simon Faulkner. It's a rare opportunity for therapists, educators, and facilitators to learn how to use music for social and emotional health.
To get to coherent rhythms in a drum circle, it's important to set a strong foundation. This clip shows a glimpse of the foundational work we do in our training workshops, including the upcoming Rhythm2Recovery course.
An announcement for our RhythmMeditation session. The drum has long been called the 'Shaman's Horse' for its ability to deepen meditative practices. In this workshop, we use it to access a state of flow.
Another poster for our 'Drum. Breathe. Connect.' workshop. This session is designed to be a rhythmic meditation, helping participants connect with their inner rhythm in a vibrant, supportive group setting.
This animated video explains the principles behind the Rhythm2Recovery program. It's a model that uses rhythm to release tension, build resilience, and support social and emotional healing.
Our 'New Moon Gathering: Drum | Meditate | Move' is a transformative experience. We use the energy of the new moon to set intentions through a powerful combination of guided drumming, meditation, and movement.
This video outlines what you get when you register for the Rhythm2Recovery workshop: 16 hours of practical instruction, a 100-page workbook, a certificate of completion, and lifetime access to learning resources.
About this collection
These sessions aren't just for casual drummers—they are built for professionals and seekers. Whether it's the evidence-based Rhythm2Recovery framework or our 'Find Your Inner Rhythm' facilitator course, we use the djembe as a tool for social and emotional healing. You are learning to lead, to hold space, and to use rhythm for real impact, not just for the show.
Training with a Purpose
At Taal Inc., we believe rhythm is a profound, research-backed tool. My journey started with a Master's in Clinical Psychology, which shaped how I approach drum circles. It isn't just about making music; it's about neuro-rhythmic engagement.
What We Offer
- Rhythm2Recovery (R2R) Workshops: A rare, evidence-based training for therapists, educators, and social workers. We teach you how to use rhythm to support emotional health and social development using a model supported by peer-reviewed studies.
- 'Find Your Inner Rhythm' (FYIR) Certification: Our intensive, hands-on training for aspiring facilitators. You’ll learn the A to Z of leading groups, managing dynamics, and creating safe, engaging spaces for participants, regardless of their musical background.
- Drum. Meditate. Move.: These are deep-dive sessions where we use the drum—the 'Shaman's Horse'—as a meditative anchor. It’s a space to switch off the conscious mind and access a flow state through intentional rhythm, movement, and breathwork.
Who Should Join?
If you are a teacher, therapist, counselor, or simply someone looking to deepen your relationship with music, these workshops are for you. You don't need to be a musician. You just need a desire to connect and the openness to learn a new way of facilitating change. We provide all instruments and the resources you need to get started immediately after the course ends.
Taal Inc
I’m Varun. After finishing my Master's in Clinical Psychology, I realized the djembe was more than just a drum—it was a powerful tool for wellness. My team and I created these training paths to share that science and soul with you, so you can help others find their rhythm too.
