Whether you are looking for corporate team building or just a simple way to de-stress, our drum circles are all about connection. Come join the circle, find your beat, and experience the joy of drumming together.

This is the feeling of 'Moribayassa', or unadulterated happiness, that we aim for in every session. Watch as a large corporate group completely lets go, finding a single, powerful rhythm together. This is the energy we bring to every event.

A full house at one of our community drum circles shows what we're all about: bringing people together. Here you can see families, kids, and adults of all ages sharing djembes and smiles. It’s a space for pure masti and connection.

This was a truly memorable drum circle with the Robin Hood Army for a group of visually impaired participants. Their sense of rhythm was incredible. It shows that the beat is a universal language that everyone can feel and be a part of.

In my TEDx talk, I share a simple way to think about coping with stress, inspired by Master Shifu. It’s about finding that 'inner peace', that moment of thinking about nothing. Drumming is one of the most powerful ways I know to get there.

We can create a drum circle anywhere. Here's one of our facilitators leading a family session in a beautiful, open-air venue just outside Pune. The natural setting adds another layer of peace and connection to the experience.

You can't make this up. This is the kind of feedback that makes it all worthwhile. When a participant gets so lost in the rhythm that they forget their daily stress, we know we've done our job. It’s about creating a space to just be yourself.

Why do you drum? We asked our community this question, and their answers were amazing: for happiness, to let go, for peace, to discover themselves. This shows the many personal reasons people connect with the rhythm.

About this collection

I am Varun, and the first thing you need to know is that you do not need any musical training to join my drum circles. I bring the West African Djembes, we sit in a circle to drop the hierarchy, and within minutes, we are making music together. It is less about learning a song and more about letting go of stress and finding that collective Wassa Wassa (happy) vibe.

At Taal Inc., I see rhythm as a way to switch off your brain and connect. When I started this, I wanted to create a space that felt like a community, not just a workshop. Whether you are a group of colleagues looking for a stress-buster, a school looking for inclusive activities, or friends wanting to try something new, the djembe is the perfect tool to break down barriers.

How We Drum

We follow the traditional West African djembe methodology passed down by my guru, Mamady Keïta, but we keep it fun and accessible. You do not need to read music or understand complex rhythms. My team and I handle the logistics, providing professional instruments for groups of 20 to 100+ participants. We have taken circles everywhere, from indoor studio settings like Artsphere in Pune to outdoor farm retreats.

Why Drumming?

It is a psychological reset. In our corporate sessions, we use rhythm games to challenge leadership dynamics and communication, but it always ends with everyone playing in sync. It is a powerful way to leave office tension at the door. For our community sessions, it is about 'Masti' (fun) and healing. We have worked with everyone from corporate teams to individuals with special needs, proving that the beat is a universal language.

Practical Details

  • Experience: Absolutely no prior experience needed. I teach the technique as we go.
  • Format: We focus on call-and-response drumming, rhythm games, and movement therapy.
  • Setup: For private events, I require minimal space—just armless chairs or floor space for the circle. If we are doing a larger event, I may need a basic PA system for announcements.

If you are ready to stop thinking and start feeling, get in touch. Let us find your inner rhythm together. Anta!

I am Varun, and I swapped psychology for the djembe because I saw how rhythm can heal. At Taal Inc., we do not just play music; we use it to break down walls and help you find that 'Wassa Wassa' happy feeling. Come, grab a drum, and let us be one.
