Behind the Scenes at Sweety’s Kitchen
We don’t believe in restaurant shortcuts. Here is a peek into how we prepare your meals, using fresh ingredients and traditional recipes.
A glimpse of our kitchen where we prepare various dishes, including Kadai Paneer, Butter Chicken, and fresh tandoori naan being cooked on an inverted tawa.
The sights and sounds of a desi Indian curry being cooked in our kitchen. We use high flame and a traditional kadai to get that authentic flavour.
We believe in finishing our dishes with care. Here, a North Indian curry is garnished with cream, fresh coriander, ginger, and a pat of butter before being packed.
Watch us prepare a large batch of Kada Parshad, a traditional Punjabi sweet made with whole wheat flour, ghee, and sugar. It's constantly stirred to achieve the perfect texture.
A bowl of freshly prepared boondi raita, seasoned with spices. It's the perfect cooling side dish to accompany our spicy curries.
About From Our Kitchen
When you order, we aren't reheating pre-made bases. We start from scratch—chopping fresh ginger, slow-cooking our dals, and hand-grinding spices just like my mom taught us. We prepare your meals in small batches right here in our Patel Nagar kitchen, so that when you open your tray, it smells and tastes like it just came off the stove at home.
How We Cook
When we say 'homecooked,' we mean it. Every dish you see in our gallery is cooked to order. We use a high flame for that smoky, authentic taste in our curries and handle every parantha with care to ensure it’s perfectly crisp yet soft inside.
Why Our Food Feels Different
- No Shortcuts: You won’t find excessive cream or artificial thickeners here. Our richness comes from slow-cooking and traditional reduction methods.
- Fresh Ingredients: We source daily. From the coriander used for garnish to the fresh vegetables in our seasonal sabzis, quality is our baseline.
- Traditional Methods: Whether it's the Kadai we use for our stir-fries or the way we prepare our Kada Parshad, we stick to the old-school methods that defined the food of my childhood.
The Sweety’s Kitchen Promise
We keep our menu tight and focused because we want to ensure consistency. If you've been missing the comfort of a proper Punjabi thali or the specific zing of a home-made achaar, you've found the right place. We are currently serving the local Gurgaon community, and we treat every order like we are packing a lunchbox for family.
Sweety's Kitchen
I’m Sweety, and everything you see here comes straight from my family’s kitchen. My mom taught me that if you’re going to feed someone, feed them like you’re feeding your own family.
