Behind the Scenes of Our Daily Kitchen
Come take a look at how we cook. From fresh veggies to that 'maa ke haath ka swad,' see the care that goes into every box we deliver in West Delhi.
Welcome back to my kitchen. Today I'm making masala jeera aloo, my famous 'khile-khile' jeera rice, and a light yellow dal. I am always happy to customize the spice levels for you.
Here's a glimpse of my preparation for a lunch order. I'm making jeera rice, ghia kofta curry, and a light yellow chana dal. Everything is cooked fresh just before delivery.
It's the weekend, so I'm making some special dishes like dal makhni and my customers' favorite jeera aloo. You can see my 'khile-khile' rice and fresh chapatis being made.
Today is Ekadashi, so I am providing meals without rice. I can always customize meals for fasting or other dietary needs, all cooked in less oil and with complete hygiene.
This is how I serve a complete meal for a family. It includes dal, paneer sabzi, jeera rice, fresh raita, salad, and rotis, all packed in separate containers.
A complete meal package with individual containers for each dish. This ensures the flavors don't mix and the food stays fresh.
A close-up of the fresh dishes from a family meal pack. You can see the vibrant colors of the dal and paneer, and the creamy texture of the raita.
This is what a typical weekend order from a family looks like. It has all the components for a delicious and wholesome meal at home.
A 500ml container of my homestyle dal, perfect for a small family. You can order individual dishes in larger quantities as well.
A refreshing side of Kheera Raita (cucumber in yogurt). It's lightly spiced and is the perfect cooling accompaniment to any of my meals.
About From My Kitchen to Yours
Every single day, my devrani and I decide the menu based on what is fresh in the market. When you place an order, we do not just pick a container off a shelf. We cook your dal, sabzi, and rotis in a fresh batch just for that delivery slot. If you need it zero oil, or if you hate a particular vegetable, just tell us. We adjust every plate to make sure you get the home-cooked comfort you are missing.
Transparency is important to me because I know you are trusting me with your daily health. I started Mumma’s Kitchen because I saw so many students and office workers in West Delhi settling for unhealthy, oily food just because they did not have another option. That is why we keep things simple here. We use less oil, no heavy masalas, and fresh ingredients. Whether it is our khile-khile jeera rice or a simple yellow dal, everything is prepared to be light on your stomach. We pay close attention to hygiene in our kitchen. From the way we wash our vegetables to how we pack your thali, cleanliness is our priority. You get your meal in a 5-compartment tray so the flavours stay where they belong. We are not cooking for customers, we are cooking for family, and that means we are happy to accommodate diet-specific requests like brown rice, tofu, or fasting meals. If you want to see what is cooking today, just send me a message.
