Singing Classes for Every Beginner
If you think your voice isn't 'good enough,' you're exactly who I started Swarmaanas for. Here, we focus on expression, joy, and finding your unique sound in a judgment-free space.
This is what my class is all about. It’s not about being a perfect singer, it’s about finding your happiness and healing your inner child through music. We sing together, we support each other, and we find joy in every note.
I was so touched by this student's words. She said before my workshop, she only sang in the bathroom. Now, she has the confidence to sing anywhere. This is the transformation I wish for everyone who feels shy about their voice.
I often say my classes are for the "35% wale", those who believe their voice isn't good enough. I understand that feeling because I also faced comparisons. My goal is to show you that your unique voice is beautiful and that singing is about 'bhaav' (emotion), not just perfect notes.
Many people sing from their throat, which can be tiring. I teach simple breathing techniques that make all the difference. In this clip, I am explaining how to use your breath to create a beautiful, resonant sound without any strain. It's the secret to singing with ease.
Singing should be fun. Here, my advance batch is learning an expressive Lavani. We don't just learn songs, we learn how to perform them with joy and expression. It’s about letting go and enjoying the music.
Look at the confidence. Our karaoke sessions are a safe space for students to practice singing solo. It’s amazing to see them blossom from shy beginners into confident performers who enjoy being in the spotlight.
My philosophy is simple: Gaat raha, khush raha, aanandi raha. Age is just a number. Here I am with my dear maavshi (aunt), who rediscovered her love for singing in my class. Singing is a gift that stays with you for life.
There is no greater joy than seeing the pride on my students' faces as they receive their certificates. This isn't just a piece of paper, it's a celebration of their journey, their courage, and the beautiful voice they have discovered.
About Featured
In my classes, we don't start with complex scales or theory. We start by fixing your breathing. Most students hold their breath or sing from the throat because of stage fear, which makes the voice sound strained. Once you learn to breathe properly, your natural voice opens up. You don't need a trained voice to start; you just need to learn how to let it out without pressure.
Many people come to me saying, 'Maza na awaaz changla nahiyet' (my voice isn't good). I hear this every single day. My classes in Dadar are built for the '35% wale'—the adults who have a song in their heart but are terrified to let it out in front of others.
My guru, the great Ashok Patki ji, taught me that while a 'perfect' voice is a gift, 'bhaav' (emotion) is a skill. You can learn to connect with your audience and express yourself beautifully, even if you have never touched a microphone before.
Here is what you can expect when you join:
- Breathing & Modulation: We start with simple diaphragmatic breathing exercises. This is not about classical training; it is about physical stamina so you can sing without straining your throat.
- Karaoke & Performance: You will practice singing with karaoke tracks in a supportive group. This helps you get used to holding a mic and performing in front of others, which is the fastest way to kill stage fear.
- A Relaxed Environment: Whether it is our weekend workshops or the 3-month beginner course, there are no exams, no stress, and definitely no judgment. We focus on Hindi and Marathi light music, Bollywood numbers, and bhajans.
If you have been singing only in your bathroom for years, it is time to bring that voice out. Whether you want to sing at family functions or just for your own mental peace, you will find your confidence here.
Swarmaanas
Hi, I am Manasi. I believe that singing is for everyone, not just the professionals. I have spent the last two decades helping people move past their fear and find the joy in their own voice, just like I did after my own vocal struggles.
