From initial choreography to the final stage bow, I support students through every step of their debut solo performance. My goal is to ensure you feel prepared and confident under the spotlight.

About Mentoring the Next Generation

Preparing for an Arangetram is a significant commitment that requires more than just mastering the technique. I work with students to bridge the gap between classroom practice and live performance, which includes refining a 7 to 8 item repertoire, coordinating an all-women musical ensemble, and conducting the Nattuvangam rhythm. This process requires at least 4 to 5 full musical rehearsals at my studio to ensure the dancer and the musicians are perfectly synchronized before the event.

I am Sushmitha Suresh, and my studio, Vivartana, is where I help dancers transition from students to performers. Guiding a student through their Arangetram is a deeply personal process for me, and I am there with you from the first choreography session to the final stage bow.
