Rangaabhivandane: Bharatanatyam Debut Mentorship
A dancer's debut is a profound journey, not just a performance. I guide students through the entire process, from building a Margam that plays to your strengths, to standing by your side with live Nattuvangam on the big day.

About this collection
A Rangaabhivandane is more than learning seven items; it is about building the physical stamina and emotional depth to hold a stage for two hours. My mentorship goes beyond the dance floor, as I personally handle the coordination with Carnatic musicians, lighting cues, and costume palettes, ensuring that when you step on stage, you are fully supported by a seasoned orchestra and a clear artistic vision.
The journey toward your debut is a long-term commitment between guru and shishya. We begin by assessing your baseline, identifying your strengths in Nritta (pure dance) or Abhinaya (expression), and building a Margam (repertoire) that reflects who you are as a dancer.
Over 50 hours of one-on-one coaching, we do not just memorize steps. We dig into the Jathis and the narrative arc of the Varnam, which is the centerpiece of the performance. I believe that a dancer’s unique energy should dictate the choreography, not a rigid template.
My role extends to the behind-the-scenes elements that often overwhelm students. I coordinate the live orchestra, including vocalists, mridangam players, and flutists, ensuring the musical flow matches your breathing and movement. We conduct two full-dress rehearsals with the musicians to ensure the Nattuvangam is perfectly in sync with your footwork. We also plan the lighting and costume aesthetics to create a complete visual experience. Whether you are performing at ADA Rangamandira or another venue in Bengaluru, the goal is to make your debut a moment of genuine artistic celebration.
