Glamour and High-Concept Music Video Styling
I turn raw musical concepts into visual identities. Whether it is an ethereal desert shoot or a dark, moody narrative, I handle the full design process from moodboarding to final on-set execution.
This was a magical shoot in the Dubai desert. I styled this look featuring a royal blue gown and an intricate silver face chain, creating a stunning contrast against the sand and sunset. This is an example of my destination shoot and high-concept styling services.
A behind-the-scenes moment from the 'Jogan' music video shoot. I created this dark boho-chic look with a sequined black choli, a deep maroon lehenga, and layers of oxidized silver jewellery, including a maang tikka, to build a mystical character.
For the song 'Haule Haule', I styled a soft, romantic, indo-western look. This ensemble features a draped, off-shoulder top in powder blue paired with a flowing white skirt and chunky silver jewelry for a bohemian touch.
The official poster for 'Mere Bin', featuring a vibrant, festive look I styled. The colorful printed lehenga and yellow kurta were chosen to create a rich, celebratory feel for this romantic song set in a beautiful palace.
A close-up on the accessory styling for 'Haule Haule'. I selected a statement silver choker, large jhumkas, and a bold ring to complement the indo-western outfit and add to its bohemian charm.
Another look at the 'Jogan' styling. The combination of dark makeup, traditional bindis, and heavy silver jewelry was essential in creating the song's intense and spiritual vibe.
The full look for the singer in 'Jogan'. I used a shimmering black lehenga and choli set, accessorized with heavy, traditional silver pieces to create a powerful silhouette against the rustic, historic backdrop.
Scenes from the 'Haule Haule' music video, showing the soft, romantic styling in motion. The flow of the skirt and the way the jewelry catches the light are key details that I consider during the selection process.
A glimpse into the romantic visuals of 'Mere Bin'. The styling here focused on creating a dreamy, cinematic feel with both traditional and contemporary outfits that suited the grand, palatial setting.
More beautiful shots from 'Mere Bin'. I styled the female lead in elegant, flowing outfits that looked stunning in the nighttime scenes, enhanced by the soft lighting and historic architecture.
About Glamour & High-Concept Shoots
People often ask if I just pick outfits. It is actually about the hustle on set. When I did the Dubai desert shoot with that face chain, I had to be on the ground constantly adjusting the garment flow and accessory placement as the sun shifted. You are not just paying for a costume; you are paying for someone who stands right next to the camera ensuring every look stays camera-ready through every single take.
High-concept styling is about storytelling. For music videos, the outfit has to do as much work as the lyrics. I start by aligning with the director on the song's emotional core. If it is a track with a spiritual or intense vibe, I look for heavy oxidized jewelry, dark palettes, and textures that catch the light during dramatic scenes. Conversely, for modern urban tracks, I shift to faux leather, denim, or structured silhouettes that bring an edgy, contemporary feel.
My process is comprehensive. It begins with concept design where we define the visual language. I handle the sourcing from local boutiques and designers, managing all logistics including fittings and garment returns. On shoot days, I do not just drop off clothes. I am present for up to 12 hours, managing the wardrobe, doing quick fixes with my styling kit, and ensuring continuity so the look remains consistent from the first shot to the last. Whether we are shooting in the heat of Dubai or a studio in Delhi, I ensure the aesthetic is technically sound and visually striking.

I am Soundarya, and for me, styling is where my vision meets the screen. I do not just dress artists; I build characters that fit the director's specific needs, whether it is a moody lehenga for a folk song or a sharp, modern look for a new music video. Waheguru ji Mehar kara, I live for the process of turning an idea into something visual.
