Lead Artist Music Video Styling
Pre-Production & Sourcing
- Concept Design: Creation of visual style guide aligning with song lyrics and director vision.
- Look Procurement: Sourcing of 3-4 complete looks including garments, footwear, and accessories.
- Designer Liaison: Coordination with boutique designers for sourcing outfits on a returnable or credit basis.
- Fittings: One trial session prior to the shoot to check fit and mark alterations.
On-Set Execution
- Duration: Up to 12 hours of on-set presence for 1-2 shoot days.
- Wardrobe Management: Steaming, ironing, and organizing outfits by scene sequence.
- Stylist Kit: Usage of professional supplies including industrial double-sided tape, safety pins, lint rollers, and sewing kit.
- Continuity: Ensuring accessories and outfit details remain consistent between takes.
Post-Production
- Returns Management: Packing and returning sourced garments to designers within stipulated timelines.
Editorial & Portfolio Shoot Styling
Concept Design
- Theme Development: Creating specific vibes suitable for Instagram or print promotion.

Sourcing & Styling
- Outfit Selection: Sourcing 2-3 complete changes from local boutiques or high-street brands.

Logistics
- Pickup & Drop: Management of picking up clothes from designers and returning them after the shoot.

- Requirements Analysis: Assessment of event nature and personal brand needs.
- Outfit Sourcing: Securing one primary outfit (Gown, Suit, or Heavy Ethnic Wear) with matching clutch, footwear, and jewelry.
- MUA Coordination: Liaising with makeup artists to align hair and makeup with the outfit choice.
Execution
- Fittings: One extensive trial session to mark alterations.
- Dressing Assistance: On-location assistance to help dress, focusing on complex draping or intricate fastenings.
- Emergency Kit: Provision of a mini-kit with pins and tape for the event duration.

- I get involved right from the concept stage, chatting with artists and directors about their music video or film’s vibe.
- My process covers artist image consultation, costume design, sourcing from designers/brands, and even matching jewellery and accessories for that perfect shot.
- I’m always on set, doing last-minute fixes and making sure every detail is camera-ready. Chakkar pe chakkar lagte rehte hai (It’s always a hustle), but I love it.

- Love mixing it up: traditional Punjabi suits for romantic tracks, dark boho lehengas with oxidised jewellery for moody music videos, modern edgy looks with faux leather or denim for a fresh spin.
