See what happens before the camera rolls. From mood boarding to final set adjustments, here is my hands-on approach to styling artists.

A true behind-the-scenes moment from the set of 'Yaar Mera Ghodi Chad Gaya'. Here I am making final adjustments to the bride's dupatta and jewelry, ensuring her entire look is perfect before the shot. On-set styling is a crucial part of my service.

On set with the lovely Sweetaj Brar. We're looking over details for her look in the 'Khabi Seat' music video. This kind of collaboration and discussion with the artist is key to a successful outcome.

Working on the details with Haryanvi star Anjali Raghav. I'm adjusting her accessories to complete this edgy look featuring a red top and a faux leather skirt. It's these final touches that bring an outfit together.

A happy moment on the set of 'Yaara' with Indeep Bakshi and Ashnoor Kaur. Building a good rapport with the artists I style is so important for a creative and positive atmosphere on set.

Another on-set moment with Anjali Raghav. My job continues throughout the shoot, making sure every element of the outfit looks just right on camera, from every angle.

About Behind The Scenes: The Styling Process

People often see the final shot, but the real work happens in the 12 hours leading up to it. On set, I am not just holding a bag of clothes. I am the one steaming dupattas, fixing a fallen accessory, or adjusting a faux leather skirt right before the director calls for the take. Whether we are on a remote desert shoot or a studio floor, my kit—packed with tape, safety pins, and essentials—is always within reach to keep the shoot moving without delays.

My process starts long before we reach the location. It begins with concept design, where I sit down with directors and artists to understand the song's vibe and lyrical meaning.

My On-Set Workflow

Once we have the concept, I take charge of sourcing. This involves connecting with boutiques to select garments that fit the narrative, whether it is a traditional Punjabi look or an edgy modern style.

  • Pre-Production: I handle look procurement and fittings to ensure everything is ready. This is where I mark alterations and organize the wardrobe by scene sequence.
  • During the Shoot: My role involves managing the wardrobe from start to finish. I handle steaming, ironing, and quick-fix styling during the shoot to ensure continuity across every frame. If an accessory slips or a fit needs adjusting, I am there to fix it instantly.
  • Post-Production: Once the cameras stop, I manage the returns of all sourced outfits to ensure the process wraps up smoothly for everyone involved.

Working with artists like Sweetaj Brar or Anjali Raghav has taught me that the details define the visual. Whether I am adjusting a face chain for a desert shot or layering jewellery for a romantic track, my goal is to ensure the artist feels confident and the camera captures the perfect look.
