Conceptual & Avant-Garde Fashion Styling
These images represent my pursuit of fashion as visual art. For these shoots, I move beyond standard styling to create surreal narratives, dramatic silhouettes, and high-concept imagery that capture a specific mood.
A look from the 'UNRUFFLED' series, featuring a multi-textured, ruffled dress that creates an explosion of color and form. The styling here is about creating a wearable sculpture that feels both chaotic and beautiful.
A black and white shot capturing a sense of delicate chaos. The model is enveloped in a cloud of white tulle, creating a soft, ethereal, and high-fashion editorial look.
A dramatic, artistic composition featuring two models intertwined in a flowing red gown. The styling focuses on creating a single, fluid shape, exploring themes of connection and movement through a bold, monochromatic palette.
An avant-garde look combining a sculptural dress made from repurposed fabrics with a sharp, white bob wig. This styling choice creates a futuristic and artistic character for a high-concept editorial.
From an editorial for HUF Magazine, this image showcases an edgy, futuristic concept. The styling combines a spiked headpiece with a plaid background, creating a clash of textures and themes.
A detail shot from my HUF Magazine editorial, focusing on the juxtaposition of a graphic, anatomical-print top against a classic plaid pattern. This highlights my interest in mixing modern graphics with traditional textiles.
A powerful, cinematic shot from a campaign for ABP Studios. The models are drenched in red powder, creating a visually arresting and highly symbolic image where the simple white costumes serve as a canvas.
About this collection
In avant-garde styling, the clothes are only half the story. Whether we are mixing anatomical prints with classic tartan or creating wearable sculptures from ruffles, I focus on the interplay between prop, silhouette, and camera angle. My process starts with a narrative mood board, ensuring that even the most surreal concepts feel rooted in a clear visual language.
When planning an avant-garde shoot, the goal is to break the script. I do not just source clothes; I build a world. This approach requires intense pre-production, starting with a narrative mood board that aligns the photographer, makeup artist, and myself on the same visual wavelength. We often integrate props like masks, headgear, or unconventional accessories to add texture and depth to the frame.
For these complex projects, I dedicate 12-hour days on set to manage every detail. This means two assistants are always on hand to handle garment logistics, fabric movement, and quick changes. My sourcing network covers everything from high-street finds for commercial shoots to premium vintage archives for high-concept editorials. If the model is available, I strongly recommend a pre-shoot fitting to ensure that every silhouette fits perfectly.
Whether we are shooting a futuristic campaign or a surreal narrative, my focus remains on the storytelling. I believe that even the most extreme styles must be grounded in an authentic visual. If you have a bold idea in mind, let's talk about how we can build it together.

I started with a pencil and a dream 16 years ago, and I still carry that spark into every set. For me, avant-garde isn't about being loud; it is about making a quiet, powerful statement that forces a second look. My team and I are here to help you push the visual boundaries of your next project.
