The Making Of: A Look Behind the Scenes
Fashion is not just the final red-carpet shot. Here is what happens before the cameras start rolling.
A candid moment from a photoshoot. This is the on-set reality: checking looks, making adjustments, and collaborating with the team to get the perfect shot. The energy is always high.
The clothing rack is my canvas. Here's a glimpse of the curated selection for a shoot, with a palette of pinks, yellows, and greens ready to be mixed and matched to create different looks.
The finishing touches are everything. A look inside my accessory kit on a shoot day, filled with a variety of gold chains, statement rings, and bold earrings to complete each outfit.
The not-so-glamorous but very real side of a stylist's life. My car often doubles as a mobile wardrobe, packed with shopping bags, clothing options, and of course, coffee to fuel a busy shoot day.
From a fitting in my studio to the streets of Times Square. This video shows the journey of a single outfit, a vibrant multi-panel dress, as it goes from a trial with Anushka Sen to its debut at a major event.
The reality of my studio days often involves me, a cup of chai, and my laptop. Here I am, deep in the creative process, planning looks and building mood boards in a comfortable yet stylish outfit that keeps the ideas flowing.
My creative process isn't always at a desk. Sometimes the best ideas come from lounging on the sofa, flipping through reference books and magazines to find that spark of inspiration for the next project.
About this collection
People see the red carpet moment, but they rarely see the mobile wardrobe I keep in my car or the hours spent pinning hemlines in my Santacruz studio. When you hire me, you are not just paying for a stylist. You are paying for the person who handles the steaming, the logistics, and the emergency sewing kit so you do not have to worry about a single detail.
The work starts long before the lights go up. It begins with the brief, digging into your story, and finding that one visual hook that makes your brand identity click. Whether I am styling a magazine cover or managing a campaign for a national brand, the process is always the same: we move from a loose mood board to a concrete visual strategy.
My Process
- The Concept: We start with a 60-minute deep-dive to align your personal brand or campaign goals with the visual direction.
- Sourcing: I do the heavy lifting here. I work with a network of designers and rental houses to pull the right pieces, handle the transport, and organize the fittings at my Santacruz studio.
- Execution: On set, I lead the department. I manage the steaming, the continuity, and those quick outfit changes that need to be seamless. If an outfit does not fit, I fix it. If the look needs a specific accessory, I source it.
I handle the chaotic stuff so you can focus on your work. Whether you need an executive image strategy for a professional shoot or creative direction for a campaign, I am there to make sure the final result is exactly what we envisioned. Let us talk about your next project.
