How I Shape Your Space
I pay serious attention to how a home feels - not just how it looks. Here’s what I focus on:
- Multi-level layouts, like split-level home design, help create separate zones for living and working but still feel connected.
- I use double-height spaces and skylights. That’s where natural light architecture comes in, making spaces feel open and full of life.
- Windows aren’t just holes in the wall - I frame views of greenery, so you always feel close to nature, even in Mumbai.
- Arches and internal windows soften boundaries and keep air flowing.

- I believe small touches matter most. Custom staircase design is a favorite - slim, sculptural stairs in metal or wood that become a centerpiece, not just a path.

My Story
We’re SML Architects, right in the middle of Mumbai’s madness. For us, the city’s noise pushes us to chase the opposite: quiet, rooted homes. Mahek always says a house should be calm and reflective, not just a place but a retreat. Had our first magazine cover – wrote ‘Look Ma, Cover’ – felt special, not just for the hype, but because it meant people get what we’re trying to do. We build homes that let you slow down and breathe.
