About Interior Design
Good design should feel effortless - I always go for natural materials that age well and keep things grounded. My work is all about making a home feel calm and uncluttered, whether it’s a fresh apartment or a vintage bungalow with quirks.
Design Approach
- Japandi style interiors are my go-to, mixing Japanese calm with Scandinavian simplicity. I keep things minimal, but never boring. Sometimes, I add a bit of Art Deco or 80s retro if the space needs personality.
- I believe in sustainable home design - lime-washed walls, terrazzo floors, teak and oak veneers, and earthy weaves like rattan and jute. You’ll actually feel the textures, not just see them.
The Process
- I don’t do cookie-cutter. Every home is different, so I like to work with what’s already there. If there’s an awkward column, I turn it into a feature - maybe a curved arch or some smart panelling.
- Multi-generational family spaces matter to me. I design for actual living, with practical layouts and flow, plus loads of natural light.
Inside Your Spaces
- Living and dining areas get open layouts and bold furniture - think high wooden ceilings and archways.
- Bedrooms? Each one is its own story, with custom beds and lots of texture.
- Kitchens are functional, with natural material finishes, and secret home offices if you need one.
If you like honest finishes and cosy spaces that aren’t just for show, I’m your person.

My Story
Hey, I’m Ved Panchwagh. ST-EM Architecture is my baby, started in Mumbai but we end up working everywhere - Gandhinagar, even abroad sometimes. For me, it’s not just about drawing up buildings; it’s about making a space that feels like home, ya, a real sanctuary. I love using natural stuff - wood, stone, rattan. Each project, whether it’s a township or a tiny bedroom, has its own vibe. We try to keep things timeless, calm, and real.
