These works are born from deep intention. From coiled temple forms to hand-carved installations, each sculpture is a meditation on clay, energy, and the human story.

'Manthan; Churning and Rising' from my Cosmic Temple series. This hand-carved sculpture captures the process of inner transformation. It was an honor to have it displayed at the 'In-Transit' exhibition in Delhi.

A video showing my sculpture 'Moment of Surrender' as it catches the morning light. This hand-built, high-fired piece explores themes of peace and acceptance, a recurring meditation in my work.

A close-up detail of the face from a recent hand-built sculpture. Capturing emotion in clay is a journey of its own, one I love sharing in my workshops.

A side view of the 'Cosmic Temple' sculpture, showing the sun and moon motifs. This piece represents holding the cosmos within, a concept central to my spiritual practice and artistic expression.

The back of the 'Cosmic Temple' sculpture, where intertwined snakes represent the rising of kundalini energy. This form took months of coiling and carving, a true labor of love and patience.

With my sister beside the 'Navrasa Stambh'. This large, coiled and carved terracotta piece is a culmination of community effort and decades of learning.

Sharing the 'Navrasa Stambh' with dear friends and fellow ceramists. The energy of seeing art in person, surrounded by community, is something truly special.

More cherished moments from the 'Navrasa Stambh' exhibition opening. I am so grateful for the support of fellow Mumbai artists on this path.

The whole studio team and family at the exhibition. Creating these large-scale ceramic installations is a collective effort, and their support means everything.

A video showing the creation of a custom Ganapati idol, from a simple lump of clay to the final decorated form. Each stage is a prayer, coiled with intention and care for a client's home.

About Sculptural Forms & Art Pieces

Choosing a sculptural piece is about inviting a specific energy into your home. Whether you are drawn to the intricate carvings of my Cosmic Temple series or a custom hand-coiled installation, each work is built patiently over weeks, often beginning as a quiet meditation. Because I build everything by hand without molds, every piece carries subtle, organic variations that reflect the time and care poured into its creation.

My sculptural work is a departure from my everyday ceramics. While my mugs and bowls are about the rhythm of daily use, these art pieces are where I get to explore deeper themes—spirituality, the human form, and ancient motifs like the kundalini or cosmic temples.

The Process of Intention

Every piece you see here, whether it is a large-scale installation like 'Navrasa Stambh' or a smaller anatomical heart, is hand-built. I avoid molds entirely. I use coiling and carving techniques, often spending weeks or months on a single form. This is not just construction; it is a practice of patience. The paperclay I use allows me to build on a scale that feels both fragile and enduring, and the firing process—often to 1220°C—is a final act of transformation.

Bringing Art Home

Art should move you. Many of my collectors come to me looking for a focal point for their homes—a piece that shifts the energy of a room. I create face planters, large coil vases, and temple sculptures that carry a sense of history.

If you are looking for something specific, let us talk. Whether it is a commissioned Ganapati idol or a custom sculpture for your living space, I work closely with you to understand the sentiment you want to capture. It is not just about the clay; it is about the story you want to keep.

I'm Rashi. I have been working with clay since 2004, and for me, it has always been about more than the object—it is about the energy we put into it. My studio, Studio Karva, is a space where we share this journey, teaching and creating side-by-side with fellow clay lovers in Mumbai.
