Community & Festival Musical Performances
From grand festival stages to intimate community halls, I bring the soul of Carnatic music to your event. Let us create a performance that connects with everyone in the room.
Performing on the prestigious stage of the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival. It was an amazing experience to be part of such a grand celebration of our art and culture, surrounded by incredible musicians and a wonderful audience.
A surprise birthday cake cutting on stage during my concert in Chicago. This was part of my 'Sing with the Stars' performance, and the warmth from the audience and young singers made it truly memorable.
A group photo with fellow musicians and organizers at the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival. Being part of such events is not just about performing, but also about connecting with the community that supports and cherishes Carnatic music.
A clip from my collaborative concert for the Margazhi Maha Utsavam, televised on Star Vijay. The theme of our performance was the number "Seven," and we explored its significance in our culture through various compositions.
A magical, intimate concert at Namma Ashram in Bangalore. I love these smaller, open-air settings where the connection with the audience feels so immediate and personal.
Performing at Namma Ashram in Whitefield, Bangalore. This video captures the serene ambiance of the evening, where I was joined by talented co-artists on the violin and mridangam for an intimate musical session.
A snapshot from a concert for the Rotary Club of Chennai Bharathi. The event was organized to commemorate Children's Day and support a music therapy studio for children with autism, a cause I was honored to contribute to.
About Community & Festival Performances
When you book me for a community or festival event, I do not just stand on stage and sing. I love to build a connection with the crowd, often incorporating my 'Sing with the Stars' concept where I bring local children or students on stage. Whether it is an open-air setup or a formal auditorium, I adapt my repertoire to make sure the atmosphere feels personal and engaging rather than just a standard concert.
For me, performing in a community setting is different from a ticketed concert. The energy is closer, the connection is raw, and the stories we share through music hit home differently. I have performed across India and internationally, from the Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival to intimate gatherings in Bangalore. My goal is to make Carnatic music accessible without losing the essence of the bhakti or the craft.
I adapt my performance style based on the venue. For large community festivals, I can bring a full ensemble, complete with percussion and strings, to fill the space with sound. For smaller, cozy events—like the sessions I have hosted at Namma Ashram—I keep it acoustic and stripped back.
Let us talk about engagement. I do not just want to be a performer on a pedestal. My ‘Sing with the Stars’ concept is something I am passionate about, involving local children or budding singers in the performance. It turns a show into an experience for the whole neighborhood. If you have a specific theme in mind—maybe a traditional Margazhi setting or a fusion-heavy community celebration—we can chat about how to structure the playlist. I handle the vocal arrangement and ensemble coordination; you just need to ensure the PA system and mics are ready to go. Let us make your next event a musical one.
