Strength & Conditioning Qualifications & Expert Mentorship
Coaching isn't just about reading textbooks. It is about taking scientific theory and applying it directly to the gym floor. These are the credentials and practical experiences that back every program I design.
I am proud to be a graduate of Setanta College with a Master of Science in Performance Coaching. This advanced degree has provided me with a deep, scientific foundation that informs every aspect of my coaching and mentorship.
This Certificate of Recognition as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) from the NSCA is a significant milestone. It represents a commitment to the highest standards of practice and continuous professional development in the field.
I have earned the Professional Level 2 (PL2) Strength and Conditioning Coach accreditation from the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA). This advanced certification recognizes my ability to design and implement programs for high-level athletes.
As a certified Velocity-Based Training Expert, I have in-depth knowledge of using bar speed to guide training. This certification, taught by Dr. Bryan Mann, has been pivotal in shaping my data-driven approach to autoregulation and performance optimization.
I completed the Power BI for S&C Coaches course to enhance my data visualization skills. This allows me to analyze training data more effectively and present it to coaches and athletes in a clear, impactful way.
This certificate from the Barça Innovation Hub covers Workload and Injury in Team Sports. The course provided a deep understanding of managing athlete load, a critical component of my mentorship for coaches working in team environments.
Completing the EXOS Performance Specialist certification was a foundational experience. The EXOS system for integrated training is one of the best in the world, and I incorporate its principles into my own coaching philosophy.
I completed the ALTIS Need for Speed course to deepen my expertise in speed development. Taught by world-renowned coaches, this course provided both scientific and practical insights into coaching acceleration and maximal velocity for team sports.
Adding the Rehab Trainer certification to my skillset was crucial. This practical, gym-based approach to the safe and effective training of injured clients allows me to better guide coaches in managing athletes through the return-to-play process.
The NSCA's Guide to Program Design is an essential text for any serious coach. I completed the associated course to ensure my understanding of the rationale behind program prescription is robust and evidence-based.
About My Credentials & Professional Development
Holding an MSc in Performance Coaching is a solid foundation, but the real test is how I apply biomechanics and VBT during a live session. Whether you are preparing for your CSCS practical exam in Bengaluru or need a mentor to audit your programming, these credentials are the tools I use to help you move beyond generic coaching.
My approach is built on a simple philosophy: knowledge is only useful if it works in the real world. I do not collect certificates for the sake of it; I pursue them to solve specific problems coaches face every day.
The Science of Coaching
My education, including my MSc in Performance Coaching and certifications from NSCA, ASCA, and EXOS, dictates how I structure my sessions. When I talk about periodization or force-vector theory, it is because I have studied the biomechanics behind the lift and tested the application on the track and in the gym.
In-the-Trenches Application
I believe in working as hard as my athletes. I use my own training as a lab, hitting heavy lifts and analyzing my own bar path speeds to refine how I coach others. This is why my workshops are not top-down lectures. When you attend a session with me—whether it is an Olympic lifting masterclass or a deep dive into Velocity-Based Training—we are looking at:
- Practical Cueing: How to fix a client's technique in real-time.
- Data Literacy: Using tools like Power BI to track athlete load and prevent injuries.
- Career Pathways: Navigating global certifications like the CSCS to actually land coaching roles.
My goal is to mentor coaches who want to stop guessing and start programming with intent. If you are struggling with a specific athlete scenario or need guidance on your own career trajectory, we can break down the research and build a plan that actually gets results.
