Lifting heavy makes you strong, but plyometrics makes you explosive. Here is how we bridge the gap between static strength and raw athletic speed.

The last time I did this workout was 6 years ago as a competitive 100m sprinter. It's taken me that long to recreate an environment where I can train like an athlete again.

Greasing the grooves with push presses and hurdle jumps. After a series of setbacks, it's hard to get back to your peak speed and power, but consistency is key.

Back home on the track, where I belong. No matter how much I try to replicate it in the gym, nothing beats sprint and jump drills on a real track.

Another week, another plyometric box workout. These drills are essential for developing explosive power and improving your vertical jump.

Show me, don't just talk. This is a 150kg calf raise, an exercise many think is weird or dangerous. But if you want explosive power, you need strong calves and ankles.

Some extra curricular activities. This is a mix of overhead work and explosive muscle-ups, demonstrating the combination of strength and plyometric ability we build.

Heavy lifting is important, but it's more important to convert that strength into explosive power. Here I'm practicing what I preach with hurdle jumps and posterior chain work.

All the jumpy stuff. This is a compilation of different plyometric drills, from parallette jumps to box jumps, all designed to make you a more explosive athlete.

Stair jumps are a simple but brutal way to build leg power. This drill forces you to be explosive on every single rep.

More stair jumps, this time on a much larger set of stairs. This is a great way to build explosive endurance.

About Building Athleticism: Plyometrics & Drills

Most people in the gym lift heavy, but they move like concrete. You might have the squat numbers, but can you jump, sprint, or change direction instantly? That is the gap I bridge. We take the strength you build under the bar and convert it into pure, explosive athleticism using dedicated hurdle work, stair drills, and jump mechanics, so you do not just look strong, you actually move like an athlete.
