About Crochet & Embroidery Classes
Why I Teach Crochet & Embroidery
I started this journey back in 1985, because I wanted to revive traditional art and help women feel confident with a needle or hook in hand. For me, these crafts are more than hobbies - they’re a way to unwind, find joy, and create something special with your own hands. Many of my students say crochet is their go-to stress-buster.
What You’ll Learn
I keep my batches small, so you always get one-on-one attention. My classes are perfect if you’re totally new and want to try something relaxing.
- Crochet classes for beginners: We start right from zero, so no worries if you’ve never touched a crochet hook. You’ll learn how to make home decor like torans, flower baskets, even baby dresses and handbags.
- Hand embroidery workshop Mumbai: I show you stitches that turn plain fabric into something beautiful. Most students say embroidery is calming and helps them focus better.
- Goan cross stitch tutorial: I also teach cross stitch in the Goan style - something a bit different if you want to try it out.
Class Format & Vibe
Classes happen at my place in Goregaon East. You can pick weekday or weekend batches - both run in the afternoons. Seats fill up fast, so I like to keep things cozy and personal. Some days, we chat in Marathi too, especially when I’m describing festival crafts like "Diwali cha faral" (Diwali treats).

Shubh Creations
My Story
Hi, I'm Shubhangi, and honestly, I’m hooked on crochet - since way back in 1985! Yarn and hooks, that’s my happy place. Started Shubh Creations to bring back old-school crafts and lift up women. Sometimes I’ll make a whole Diwali faral (sweet platter) just for fun, out of yarn! It’s not about speed or perfection, just the joy you get with every stitch, every smile in class. That’s what keeps me going.
