Highlights from our Musical Journeys
A glimpse into the joy, wonder, and hands-on learning that define our musical family. See how we bring the magic of Indian classical instruments to life for little ones and their parents.
A moment of pure wonder as a young student discovers the magic of the sitar for the first time. We believe in letting curiosity guide the learning journey, creating a gentle and supportive space for children to connect with the beautiful instruments of Bharat.
Little maestros in the making! This is what our sessions are all about: joyful noise, happy hands, and the foundational beats of Indian classical music. Watch as our students get their first feel for the tabla, learning rhythm in the most playful way.
There is nothing more rewarding than hearing from our ShrotaHouse parivar. Listen to parents share their experiences and see the impact our musical bonding sessions have on both children and adults. Their stories are the reason we do what we do.
A mother and her children creating music and memories together during our Jaltarang camp. We design our workshops not as drop-off classes, but as shared spaces where families can bond over the delightful sounds of Indian music.
Look at that focus! Our musical book tours are all about hands-on exploration. Here, children get up close with a Santoor, feeling its strings and discovering how it creates its unique sound. We bring the instruments to them.
Our parivar is growing, and our hearts are full! This is what our community looks like: full of happy children, proud parents, and dedicated musicians, all celebrating the joy of Indian art music together. Once you join us, you are always a Shrota.
A quiet moment of connection between a teacher and a student is where the real magic happens. I love sharing the stories and sounds of the Veena, watching a child's face light up as they learn to create their own music.
About this collection
Unlike traditional classes, we keep things messy and real. Whether it is a parent-child Jaltarang session or an instrument petting zoo where kids finally get their hands on a Sitar or Tabla, every event is built to make Indian classical music feel like play rather than a lesson.
Our mission is simple: to make the rich heritage of Indian classical music accessible, not intimidating. We focus on 'Shastriya Sangeet' as a way to bond, learn, and grow. From our 5-Day Rare Instrument Mastery camps to our quick, weekend pop-up workshops, we create spaces where children aged 3 to 8 can explore without the pressure of exams or rigid note-memorization.
Why Parents Choose Our Sessions
- Hands-on Engagement: Children don't just watch; they touch. Our 'Instrument Petting Zoo' allows kids to feel the vibrations of a Santoor or the texture of a Veena, bridging the gap between theory and reality.
- Parent-Child Bonding: We believe music is a language best spoken together. Our sessions are designed for families to jam, laugh, and learn simultaneously. When you see your child discover a melody, you are part of that breakthrough.
- Community-Led: We are a growing 'Shrotagan' (family of listeners and learners). We host our workshops in art cafes, preschools, and studios across Bangalore locations like JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Whitefield, and Koramangala.
Whether you are looking for a weekend activity to spark your child's curiosity or a deep-dive camp to master a specific instrument, we meet you where you are. We are not just teaching music; we are raising a generation that hears the beauty in our roots.
ShrotaHouse
I'm Madhumita, and at ShrotaHouse, we believe music is a language that connects generations. My team and I travel across Bangalore to transform curiosity into confidence, helping your child explore the magic of Indian classical instruments while you bond together.
