About Music Workshops and Camps
Why We Do What We Do
At ShrotaHouse, music is our way of building parivar (family). I grew up with the sounds of Bharat ringing at home and now, I love sharing this magic with kids and their parents. Watching a child’s face light up when a tabla vibrates in their hands - nothing beats it.
Our Approach
We’re not about strict lessons. Kids get to move, be noisy, and let curiosity lead. The goal is feeling the music, not memorizing it. Our sessions feel more like a playground than a classroom.
What’s On Offer
- Holiday music camps for children (ages 3-7): Not just music - kids paint, make puppets, and play. Sometimes, they even get surprise visits from musicians.
- Parent-child music bonding camps: Like our Jaltarang week, where you and your kid jam together. It’s messy, loud, and pure fun.
- Musical book tour: Based on our book, “Color & Learn with Little Bajo!” We travel around, letting kids meet musicians and try instruments like Sitar, Tabla, Violin. Hands-on and interactive instrument workshops are our thing.
Where You’ll Find Us
We don’t stick to one place. You’ll spot us in preschools, art studios, and community centers across Bangalore - JP Nagar, Jayanagar, Whitefield, Koramangala. Sometimes, we pop up in Chennai too. We even come to private events if you want the music magic at home.
More Than Notes
Our camps weave in art, clay, coloring - anything that lets kids express. And yes, parents jump in too. It’s a shared space, not a drop-off class. Once you join our parivar, you’re always a Shrota.

My Story
Music’s been in our bones since childhood—me singing, my brother on tabla, making chaos at home. That joy stuck with me. From IIT Mumbai music talks to swapping raag stories with legends, life’s been a wild ride. ShrotaHouse grew from that love—incubated at IIM Bangalore, now it’s our family. The magic’s real when a toddler hugs me and says, 'I’m your co-founder.' We’re building more than classes, it’s a home for music.
My Work
Musical Experiences for Kids & Families - We offer parent-child Jaltarang camp, Carnatic and Hindustani classes, Wonderful Vaadya Project, and the Color & Learn with Little Bajo activity book.
Our Teaching Style - We don’t just teach notes. It’s stories, instruments, and feeling—making music playful and personal for every child.
Family Bonding Through Music - Sessions are for kids and parents together. Everyone learns, everyone laughs. Even grown-ups find their inner musician.
Our Community Vibe - Join us, and you’re Shrota family—celebrating, cheering, and creating beautiful moments. Once a Shrota, always a Shrota.
