About On-site Music Workshops & Events

Why I Do This

Music is more than notes and beats for me. I want everyone, especially kids, to feel the vibe of Shastriya Sangeet, not just hear it. With ShrotaHouse, I take the music out of the concert hall and bring it straight to your space, making every session friendly and open - not strict or old-school.

What To Expect

  • I show up with everything needed - artists, instruments, even art supplies sometimes.
  • You’ll get live Indian music performances (both Hindustani and Carnatic).
  • Kids can actually touch, play, and explore instruments like Tabla, Veena, and Sitar.
  • We use games and stories to teach basics like 'Laya' (rhythm), so no boring lectures.
  • Sometimes we throw in fun stuff like making clay keychains or painting a huge mural, all with a musical twist.

Who’s It For?

If you’re curious about music, you’re welcome. My workshops are best for:

  • Families with kids (3-8 years)
  • Schools & preschools who want school music education workshops with a difference
  • Community spaces, libraries, or anyone organizing a group event

Special Programs

  • Musical Book Tour: Mixes story time, music, and art - all about Indian instruments
  • Wonderful Vaadya Project: Kids get hands-on instrument exploration, guided by real musicians

Where I Go

Mostly in Bangalore, but I’ve done events in Chennai too. If you want ShrotaHouse in your city, just ask.

What Matters Most

It’s about building a music-loving community, not just running a workshop. I want kids (and grown-ups) to find joy, connection, and maybe a bit of wonder every time we meet.

My Story

Music’s been in our bones since childhood—me singing, my brother on tabla, making chaos at home. That joy stuck with me. From IIT Mumbai music talks to swapping raag stories with legends, life’s been a wild ride. ShrotaHouse grew from that love—incubated at IIM Bangalore, now it’s our family. The magic’s real when a toddler hugs me and says, 'I’m your co-founder.' We’re building more than classes, it’s a home for music.
