About this collection
At ShrotaHouse, our community is the heartbeat of every lesson. We believe that music is not just about technique, but about the joy of sharing it with others—whether we are celebrating festivals like Rakshabandhan, observing Guru Poornima, or simply marking the anniversary of our little musical family. These moments are where our students truly shine, building confidence and a love for tradition in a warm, supportive space.
When you step into ShrotaHouse, you are not just signing up for classes, you are joining a 'Shrotagan'—a growing community of families dedicated to Indian art music. We intentionally design our year around these shared experiences because we know that children learn best when they see their parents, peers, and teachers celebrating together.
Our approach is grounded in real connection. Whether it is a virtual postcard from a student in Kolkata, a heartfelt Guru Poornima tribute, or a joyful anniversary gathering, these milestones are proof that music is a bridge. We were even humbled to be recognized as a Social Trailblazer by the ISEED Foundation and LIC HFL, a testament to how our community-centric model makes early music education accessible and meaningful.
We invite you to participate in these rhythms of the year. It is about more than just playing an instrument. It is about the pride a child feels when they share a Raag during a festival, or the bond they form with a sibling while exploring the sitar. If you are looking for a space where your child can grow alongside a family that cherishes our heritage, you have found it. Let us create these musical moments together.
ShrotaHouse
I am Madhumita, and ShrotaHouse is my home. I started this to make Indian classical music feel like a family celebration, not a classroom chore. Seeing our students and parents connect through music—during festivals or simple practice days—tells me we are building exactly what I dreamed of.
