Pricing Guide
Beginner Group Coaching (Nylon Shuttles)
Training Focus
- Foundation Basics: Instruction on racquet grip (Forehand/Backhand), service techniques, and basic clears.
- Shadow Drills: Heavy emphasis on movement without shuttles to build muscle memory and correct footwork patterns like chasses and lunges.
- Static Feeding: Group drills where the coach drops shuttles to teach correct contact points.
- Physical Primer: Routine jogging and stretching for warm-up and cool-down.
Batch Details
- Batch Size: Large group format with approximately 12-18 students per court.
- Shuttlecocks: Academy provides Nylon Shuttles (e.g., Yonex Mavis 350/500).
- Schedule: 5-6 days a week (Mon-Sat) for 60 to 90 minutes per session.
- Coaching: Primary supervision by Junior/Assistant coaches with periodic oversight from the Head Coach.
Facility
- Surface: Standard Green Synthetic Mats laid over a concrete base.
- Environment: Non-AC industrial structure with high ceilings and fans.
Advanced Performance Training (Feather Shuttles)
Competitive Technical Training
- Multi-Shuttle Drills: Rapid-fire feeding sessions for reaction time, defense, and net kills.
- Advanced Skills: Training on jump smashes, cross-court drops, deceptive net play, and doubles strategy.
- Sparring: Match practice with other ranked and advanced academy players.
Strength & Conditioning
- Gym Access: Use of on-site equipment including bench press, dumbbells, and plyometric boxes.
- Agility & Endurance: Ladder drills, hurdle jumps, battle rope sessions, and interval training tailored for 3-set matches.
Batch Details
- Shuttlecocks: Uses Feather or Hybrid shuttles for drills (students may need own tubes for specific match play).
- Duration: Extended daily sessions running 2 to 2.5 hours.
- Coaching: Direct mentorship and feedback from Head Coach Vishal Rathi.
- Tournament Support: Guidance on district/state entries and mental preparation.
About Badminton Coaching
I believe hard work beats everything else. If you’ve got a dream in badminton, I’m here to push you till you get there. Body thak jaaye chalega, par sapna nahi tootna chahiye (Let the body get tired, but not the dream). I don’t do shortcuts - just sweat, discipline, and real improvement.
How We Train
- I’ll make sure you put in the work. You’ll hear me say, “Aur tej laga, jaan laga ke!” (Push harder, give it your all) every single session.
- We turn “I can’t” into “I can,” day by day.
- Expect a mix of on-court and off-court drills. Footwork comes first: shadow drills and badminton footwork drills till you feel it in your bones.
- Multi-shuttle routines, net play, smash practice, and defence drills for singles and doubles.
- Strength & conditioning for badminton isn’t optional here - we lift, sprint, jump and sweat, building real stamina and agility.
Who Can Join
- I coach kids as young as 5, adults of any age, total newbies, and those prepping for state or national tournaments.
- If you’ve never held a racket or you’re chasing that next medal, you’ll find your place.

My Story
Shri Durga Badminton Academy started with nothing but a dream and a broken-down site. For us, badminton isn’t just a game, it’s life. ‘Body tut jaaye koe nahi par sapna nahi tutna chahye’ – your body may tire, but your dream should never break. We push hard, we celebrate every win, and we never forget ‘fun bhi jaruri hai’ (fun is also important). If you want to touch the sky, you gotta learn to fall first. That’s how champions are made.
