From raw clay to the final divine drape, this is the heart of my work at the Lalbaug karkhana. Every idol, whether for your home or a grand Mandal, is crafted with pure devotion and attention to every curve.

This is one of my proudest creations, a grand Ganpati idol for a public festival. The procession shows the scale of the celebration and the central role the murti plays, standing tall with a backdrop of Bharat, surrounded by devotees.

The final reveal of the beautifully adorned Japachi Devi. This video shows the culmination of the draping process, where the idol is fully decorated with a crown, garlands, and traditional vastra for Navratri celebrations.

Before the paint and decorations, the soul of the murti is in its raw, sculpted form. This video shows close-up details of a hand-sculpted clay idol, highlighting the fine craftsmanship in the fingers and ornaments.

This is the most personal part of my work. In this video, I share the deep emotional connection I feel with each Bappa I create and the heartfelt pain of seeing them leave my workshop. It is a bond I cherish every year.

The energy of an idol procession is unmatched. Here you can see the Kamathipura cha Mahaganpati, one of my large-scale creations, making its way through the streets of Mumbai, a testament to the city's grand Ganeshotsav spirit.

This video shows my process of vastralankar, the traditional art of draping an idol. I am carefully arranging the folds of a vibrant orange sovale on a Swami Aai murti for a Navratri special puja.

A look at a custom Ganpati idol I created for a home celebration. Adorned with a detailed mukut and rich fabrics, this murti shows that the same level of detail and care goes into smaller, personal idols.

About Featured

Every idol starts as raw clay in my Lalbaug karkhana, and I spend months sculpting each detail by hand. It is not just about the structure, but the life in the eyes and the way I drape the vastralankar that truly brings the murti to life for your celebrations.
